We were deeply saddened to learn of the devastating fire at Wathurawila Tea Factory.

For Empire Teas, Wathurawila Tea Factory has been more than a business partner, it has been a valued friend and a long-standing part of our journey. Over the years, we have been privileged to work alongside a team whose warmth, professionalism, and commitment to excellence have earned the respect of all who know them.

One of our fondest memories was during the celebration of Empire Teas' 25th Anniversary, when Wathurawila Tea Factory graciously welcomed our international clients and gave them the opportunity to experience the beauty, heritage, and craftsmanship of Sri Lankan tea firsthand. The hospitality extended by the team left a lasting impression on all who visited.
While the loss caused by this tragedy is immense, we are grateful that no lives were lost. Our thoughts and prayers are with the management, employees, families, and everyone connected to Wathurawila Tea Factory during this difficult time.

We have every confidence that the resilience, dedication, and spirit that built Wathurawila Tea Factory will guide its recovery and help it emerge stronger in the years ahead.

වතුරවිල තේ කර්මාන්ත ශාලාවේ ඇති වූ විනාශකාරී ගින්න පිළිබඳව Empire Teas'හි අපි අතිශයින්ම කණගාටුවට පත්වෙමු.

වතුරවිල තේ කර්මාන්ත ශාලාව අප හට ව්‍යාපාරික හවුල්කරුවෙකු පමණක් නොව, අපගේ ගමන්මඟේ දිගුකාලීනව එක්ව සිටි වටිනා මිතුරෙකුද වේ. වසර ගණනාවක් පුරා, ඔවුන්ගේ උණුසුම් ආගන්තුක සත්කාරය, වෘත්තීයභාවය අප අත්විද ඇත.

අපගේ අමතක නොවන මතකයන් අතරින් එකක් වන්නේ Empire Teas ආයතනයේ 25 වන සංවත්සර සැමරුමයි. එම අවස්ථාවේදී වතුරවිල තේ කර්මාන්ත ශාලාව අපගේ ජාත්‍යන්තරගනුදෙනුකරුවන් ඉතා ගෞරවයෙන් පිළිගෙන, ශ්‍රී ලාංකීය තේ කර්මාන්තයේ අලංකාරය, උරුමය සහ නිෂ්පාදන කුසලතාවය සමීපයෙන් අත්විඳීමට ඔවුන්ට අවස්ථාව සලසා දුන්නේය. එහි කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය දැක්වූ ආගන්තුක සත්කාරය එම සංචාරයට එක් වූ සැමගේ සිත් තුළ දිගුකාලීන මතකයක් ලෙස රැඳී ඇත.

මෙම ඛේදවාචකය හේතුවෙන් සිදුවූ අලාභය අතිවිශාල වුවද, කිසිදු ජීවිත හානියක් සිදු නොවීම පිළිබඳවඅපි ස්තුතිවන්ත වෙමු. මෙම දුෂ්කර අවස්ථාවේදී වතුරවිල තේ කර්මාන්ත ශාලාවේ කළමනාකාරීත්වය, සේවක මහත්ම මහත්මීන්, ඔවුන්ගේ පවුල්වල සාමාජිකයන් සහ ඒ සමඟ සම්බන්ධ සියලු දෙනා වෙත අපගේ හෘදයාංගම සහයෝගය එක්කරන්නෙමු.

වතුරවිල තේ කර්මාන්ත ශාලාව ගොඩනැගූ ධෛර්යය, කැපවීම සහ නොසැලෙන ආත්ම ශක්තිය එහි නැවත නැගීසිටීම සඳහා මඟපෙන්වනු ඇති බවට අපට පූර්ණ විශ්වාසයක් ඇත.
