Edication changed my life.
My very first degree is from Myanmar — from a regular government university. I never went to international schools, never had fancy resources. I studied in the mainstream public system, just like thousands of kids in Myanmar still do today.
But that degree took me to Singapore. I found my first job there, and the rest is history.
Of course, education alone doesn’t define success — but it opens doors. It gives you the chance to try. The freedom to choose. And the dignity to dream.
Right now, in many places in Myanmar, children are risking their lives just to study. Some are sitting in dangerous huts, others hiding underground during airstrikes.
No child should have to live like that.
That’s why I’m helping to promote this Fundraising Dinner Event organized by the Netherlands–Myanmar Solidarity Platform — to build safe classrooms for these brave children in Singu Township, Mandalay Division.
