Introducing Pudini Niu, a dish rooted in familiar flavours from Chef Tommy’s sweet tooth memories.

Growing up, pocket money went straight to the dairy - so this dish starts where those memories do.

It starts with coconut rice pudding, with dried mango, crushed pavlova, dried lamington coconut sherbet and kalamansi lime sorbet - a little bit sweet, a little sour, all perfectly balanced.

Bright, nostalgic and beautifully balanced, it brings together the flavours of childhood with a distinctly Metita touch.

Available for a limited time.

Nominated by you, our Slow Braised Lamb Shanks have been named one of the Top 5 Iconic Auckland Eats dishes for 2026.

A big thank you to everyone who nominated us, and to our talented team whose craft and care shine through every dish.

“I took my English girlfriend here on a date for the Pacific-inspired menu… when she ate, she did that little happy food dance girls do!” – nominated by Mike Brandon.

Slow-cooked and finished with spiced coconut gravy, ulu and sesame, it’s a dish we’re incredibly proud of. We’re truly grateful for the support.

Congratulations to all the other nominees, especially our friends here at Depot Fed Deli MASU Huami.
