l. The trail is a unique outdoor gallery experience, where an ever-changing display of around 40 works is sensitively sited along the 2km track. Enjoy an easy one-hour’s walk suitable for most ages and abilities. Open daily 10am-5pm for wine tasting, cellar door sales, seasonal platters, coffee and other refreshments.

Guided by Cameron Douglas MS, you’ll taste rare vintages of Pharos and Martello Rock, including wines dating back to 2005.⁠

Each pour will be matched with a small plate by Head Chef Cam Cook, designed to lift the wine and reveal what time, oak and careful cellaring can do.⁠

With very limited quantities remaining, this may be one of the last chances to experience these older wines in a guided tasting.⁠

Installed along the Sculpture Trail, Chris Booth’s 'Earth Water Sun' sits within Brick Bay’s ongoing dialogue between contemporary sculpture and landscape.

Made from river and sea-worn stones collected over decades, the work brings together Booth’s long-standing exploration of stone, place, and natural form. Carefully stacked into a vertical column, it holds a quiet tension between balance and movement - shaped by elemental forces and the histories embedded within the material itself.

Encountered in the landscape, the work rewards a slower, more attentive way of looking, where detail, texture, and form emerge over time.

On the Sculpture Trail, Dane Mitchell’s 'This Stone was Laid in Commemoration of Shattered Dreams' offers a quiet moment for reflection. Part of his Commemorative Plaques series, the work draws on the language of memorials to acknowledge events that are personal, unseen, and intangible - inviting us to imagine the stories, losses, and memories held within the landscape.

On Friday 31 July, we’re opening the cellar for Wine, Oak & Time - an intimate winter tasting of eight Brick Bay reds built to last.

Wander through native bush, around tranquil lakes and discover more than 60 remarkable sculptures by leading New Zealand artists. With a complimentary Young Explorers Map in hand, tamariki can follow clues, uncover hidden artworks and enjoy a real-life treasure hunt through art and nature.

After your adventure, relax at the Glass House with a delicious kids' menu for the little ones and seasonal dishes for grown-ups.

Cast from real urchin shells found on Motuora Island, each piece reflects the quiet detail of the Hauraki Gulf coastline through refined glass practice and natural form.

Small in scale but rich in presence, these works sit between object and sculpture - presented in a lidded aluminium tin with their story, and offered as considered pieces for a collection or home.

We are pleased to introduce 'Benjamin' by Ben Foster to the Sculpture Trail.

Originally conceived as a self-portrait, the work draws on idealised classical form while reflecting on the space between outward appearance and inner experience.

Fabricated in marine-grade aluminium and finished with automotive paint, Benjamin reflects Foster’s precise, reductive approach to sculpture, where form is distilled to its essential presence.

Installed within the Nikau grove, the work sits in quiet dialogue with its surroundings.

Like any leading gallery programme, our exhibition continues to grow and change - but here it unfolds across wetlands, forest, vineyard and open landscape.

New on the Trail | 'Te Wai Abacus', 2024 — Wanda Gillespie

Interactive, playful and layered with meaning, 'Te Wai Abacus' invites visitors to engage directly with the work and the landscape beyond it.

Part of Wanda Gillespie’s ongoing Abacus series, the sculpture explores ideas of natural systems, value, and environmental fragility. Flowing forms reference waterways across Aotearoa, reflecting on the impact of perpetual-growth economies and the vulnerability of our rivers.

Visitors are invited to move the beads and look through the work, allowing the surrounding landscape to become part of the artwork itself.

Night and Day (Ex Voto) rewards curiosity. Crafted from pressed copper and oil paint, the work reveals different imagery as it is viewed from alternate angles, inviting the viewer to slow down, look again, and discover something new.

Drawing on the tradition of the ex voto—an offering of gratitude or devotion—Stringer creates a work that shifts with perspective, revealing new meanings from every angle.
