We are Hiring: Sunday Cafe Chef

Absolute Coffee House in Cambridge is looking for an experienced cafe chef to join our team on Sundays.

Hours: Approximately 7:30am until close
Pay rate: $30–$31 per hour, depending on experience
Additional work: Possible weekday and Saturday cover may be available for the right person, if needed
Start: As soon as possible

Previous cafe or commercial kitchen experience is essential. You will need to be reliable, hardworking, and confident working in a busy cafe kitchen while consistently producing tasty, well presented food and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

You will work alongside our existing chef and assist with food preparation, making cabinet food, and preparing dishes from our all day breakfast and lunch menu. You will support the kitchen in delivering consistent, high quality food as part of a great, hardworking, and fun team.

Training will be provided on our current menu, preparation methods, kitchen processes, and presentation standards.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Our Team Is Growing! ☕

We are looking for a Sunday Barista / Front of House team member to join our friendly cafe team.

• Regular Sunday shift from approximately 7:30am to 2:30pm
• Availability to fill in during the week when needed
• Potential for additional days and shifts, depending on availability
• Previous barista and coffee-making experience is essential

What we offer:

• A great hourly rate based on experience
• A friendly and supportive team
• A positive, fast-paced café environment
• Potential for additional hours

Duties include:

• Making coffees and other beverages
• Operating the till
• Running drinks and food
• Clearing tables
• Providing friendly customer service
