What a week it’s been. 🧡

The Heritage Precinct has been absolutely buzzing with the opening of Te Puna Mahara, and it’s been such a pleasure to see so many new faces discovering this very special corner of Cromwell.

There’s a real sense of excitement in the air. Locals catching up, visitors exploring, and our little precinct feeling more vibrant than ever. We couldn’t be more grateful to be part of it.

Meet the original Raffa. 🖤🐾

Our most popular toasted sandwich wasn’t named by a ‘marketing team’… it was named after this handsome chap. Danielle’s beloved Raffa has become a bit of a legend around here, and just like him, the toastie is warm, dependable and impossible not to love.

If you haven’t tried one yet, come on down soon — dogs are always welcome. 🐾🐾

And a huge thank you, Cromwell, for another fantastic weekend. What a brilliant community we live in — it’s pretty special when we all support and celebrate each other. 🧡

A beautiful Central Otago evening to welcome what promises to be an exciting weekend for our community.

Before cheering from the sidelines at the BMX World Championships in Brisbane, Holly fuelled up the right way… with a plate of our famous fantastic nachos! 🤤

Long weekend and school holiday fun for some of the younger (and perhaps just a little bit cuter 🤭😆😉) members of the PJ Fam today!

With the sun shining and the café buzzing, their mission was to find things beginning with A, B and C… and it looks like they absolutely nailed it! 👏⭐️👏

A lovely reminder to get outside, soak up the winter sunshine, explore our beautiful Heritage Precinct and enjoy the simple things.

A wee gratitude post from us…😊

Winter is traditionally a quieter time in Central Otago, so we’ve been genuinely surprised (and incredibly thankful!) by how busy it’s been lately.

With staff on and off away enjoying some well-deserved holidays, our amazing team has been stepping up, pitching in wherever needed, and keeping everything running with smiles, coffees and plenty of hard work. Quite simply, a brilliant bunch of legends! 🧡⭐️🧡

And to every single one of you who has popped in for breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee, a wine or just a friendly chat… thank you. Your support, especially through the quieter months, means the world to us.

A wonderful, wintry evening last night as we welcomed Nikki and her fabulous group from Auckland on their luxury Food & Wine Tour.

I was absolutely thrilled to be invited by our friend Gabi from The Kitchen Garden-Private Chef+Caterer to be part of the experience, with Pinot Junction co-hosting the evening and our carefully selected Central Otago wines perfectly complementing her beautiful menu showcasing the very best local produce.

It was such a special collaboration and a real celebration of everything that makes Central Otago so unique.

So nice to see Martin today! 🧡

He’s a busy guy and we haven’t caught up for a while, so it was wonderful to hear all about his latest South American adventures.

Martin joined the PJ Team in October 2023 and quickly became a firm favourite with our regulars. Always up for a laugh, a joke and a chat, he soon earned the title of our brilliant “International Man of Mystery.” 🕵️‍♂️⭐️🕵️‍♂️

While Martin is now focusing on growing his legal consultancy business, he’s still very much part of the PJ family and remains on a casual contract for on-call and cover shifts. So don’t be surprised if you spot him back behind the counter from time to time!

Please join us in wishing Martin every success in this exciting next chapter. Thank you for everything you’ve contributed to making Pinot Junction what it is today. We’re incredibly proud of you, grateful for your friendship and all the laughs along the way.

🥶 Is winter back or what?!?
And….. look who else is back! 👀⭐️👀

It’s absolutely freezing out there, and the soup pot has been working overtime! 🍲 Our Potato & Leek Soup is proving a firm favourite this week, with bowls rolling out the door to warm chilly hands and cold toes.
