I actually met this student briefly last year. I was shocked to learned that she is currently in a coma in Mercy one ICU in Des Moines. So I am reposting this here, thank you all kind people of Ames. And my form customers.

Jingyi Wang, a 25-year-old PhD student at Iowa State University, is in critical condition after a serious bicycle accident that caused a severe traumatic brain injury, and she remains in a deep coma with an uncertain recovery ahead. Her family is facing immense emotional strain and overwhelming financial pressure as they navigate this sudden crisis.
Jingyi currently requires intensive medical care, and the path forward may include long-term rehabilitation, continued treatment, and possibly medical transport back to China, while her family also needs support for travel and living expenses as they stay by her side—many of these costs are not covered by insurance.
Jingyi is a brilliant, kind, and deeply loved person who has touched many lives with her warmth and dedication, and your support truly makes a meaningful difference by helping provide her with care, time, and hope, while giving strength to her family during this uncertain journey.
