Every runner has a destination. Someone is waiting for them to get home.

Behind every morning run or evening bike ride, there's a person with a life outside the road.
A parent heading out before work.

A cyclist taking their usual route home.
A runner trying to make time for their health.
For them, it's part of everyday life. For the people who care about them, getting home safely matters more than anything.

That's why conversations about road safety should include the everyday experiences of people running, walking, and cycling near moving traffic.

One challenge is becoming aware of vehicles approaching from behind without constantly turning around.

At StradaFit, we're working on a personal road-awareness system designed to address that challenge.

Our aim is to help people become more aware of approaching traffic through a dedicated alert system.

We're still developing the technology, but the problem we're focused on is already familiar to many outdoor enthusiasts.

Innovation means more when it starts with a problem that affects real people.
What do you think deserves more attention in running and cycling safety?

Your next run should feel freeing, not filled with uncertainty about what's behind you.
Think about your last outdoor run.

Maybe you had your favorite playlist on. Maybe you were clearing your head after a long day. Maybe it was the only quiet time you had for yourself.
Now imagine having to keep checking behind you because vehicles share the road.

That small concern can interrupt the experience.
For runners, walkers, and cyclists, road awareness isn't just a technical problem. It's part of feeling comfortable while doing something they love.

That's why we're building StradaFit.
StradaFit is a personal road-awareness system in development, designed to help users become aware of approaching vehicles from behind.

We're exploring a solution that prioritizes practical alerts without making fitness tracking the focus.

No unnecessary focus on steps or calories. Just a different approach to an everyday road-safety challenge.

We're working toward our functional prototype and continuing to develop the technology needed to bring this idea to life.

StradaFit: More awareness of what's behind you. More focus on what's ahead.

If you work in product development, wearable technology, road safety, or manufacturing, we'd love to connect with people who understand this challenge.

When you’re developing a new piece of hardware, the idea is only the beginning.

You have to think about the technology behind it. How will it detect what it needs to detect? How quickly should it respond?

How will the user receive an alert without disrupting what they’re doing?

Then come the questions around comfort, reliability, testing, manufacturing, cost, and whether the product can actually work outside a controlled environment.

With StradaFit, these aren’t small details. They’re the difference between having an interesting concept and building something people can genuinely rely on.

We’re developing a personal road-safety system designed to detect vehicles approaching from behind and alert the wearer. As we work toward a functional prototype, every technical decision matters.

And the work doesn’t stop once the prototype exists.
There’s still validation, refinement, manufacturing planning, and the challenge of making sure the final product is practical for everyday runners, walkers, and cyclists.

Building hardware means solving problems you didn’t even know you had when the idea first came to you.
That’s part of the process, and it’s something we’re taking seriously at StradaFit.

For anyone who has taken a hardware product from concept to production, what turned out to be the most challenging part of the journey? Was it engineering, testing, manufacturing, or something completely unexpected?

My wife was riding her bike when a driver who wasn’t paying attention nearly seriously injured her. Thankfully, she was okay. But that experience stayed with me.

It made me think differently about what it means to share the road when you’re not inside a vehicle.
A driver has mirrors and blind-spot alerts to help identify what’s around them. But when you’re riding a bike, running, or walking near traffic, knowing what’s approaching from behind can be much harder.

I kept coming back to one question:
Why shouldn’t people outside a vehicle have technology that helps them become more aware of approaching traffic, too?

That question became the starting point for StradaFit.
We’re now working toward a functional prototype of a personal road-safety system designed to detect vehicles approaching from behind and alert the wearer.

This is personal for me. I started thinking about StradaFit because I wanted a better way to help protect someone I love. Now, I’m working to turn that idea into something that could help other people who share the road.

There’s still a lot of work ahead, and building the right technology takes the right people.
As we move forward, I’m interested in connecting with investors, engineers, product developers, manufacturers, and strategic partners who believe in the potential of road-safety innovation.

Sometimes, a business idea begins with an opportunity. Sometimes, it begins with a moment that makes you realise something needs to change.
For me, StradaFit began with the latter.

That’s where we are with StradaFit.
We’re working toward a functional prototype of a personal road-safety system designed to detect vehicles approaching from behind and alert people who run, walk, or cycle near traffic.

The challenge isn’t simply developing a device. It’s making sure the final product addresses a real need, works reliably, and fits naturally into the way people move.

That takes the right mix of engineering, product development, manufacturing, testing, and commercial planning.

It also takes people who understand that early-stage innovation requires patience, practical thinking, and a willingness to solve difficult problems.

As StradaFit moves forward, we’re interested in conversations with investors, engineering specialists, product development teams, manufacturers, and strategic partners who see the opportunity in personal road-safety technology.

We’re focused on building the right foundations before bringing the product to market.
If you work in wearable technology, mobility safety, hardware development, or early-stage investment, I’d welcome your perspective on what it takes to turn a promising concept into a viable product.

Sometimes, the most valuable next step isn’t funding or technology alone. It’s finding the right people to build with.

That’s one of the challenges runners and cyclists face when sharing the road with moving traffic.
You’re watching where you’re going.

Maybe you’re listening to music. You can’t constantly look over your shoulder, and you shouldn’t have to interrupt every few moments just to check what’s behind you.
This is the problem StradaFit is being built to address.

The idea is simple: develop a personal road-safety system that detects approaching vehicles from behind and alerts the wearer, helping them stay more aware of their surroundings.

We’re not building another device to count steps or measure performance. We’re focusing on a different need: road awareness for people who run, walk, or cycle near traffic.

There’s still work ahead, from developing the functional prototype to testing the technology and refining the product. But solving a real problem starts with understanding it properly.
And this is a problem worth working on.

What do you think would make road-safety technology genuinely useful for everyday runners and cyclists?

I’d be interested to hear perspectives from the running community, product developers, and people working in road safety.

Every runner should be able to answer one question without turning around:
“What’s coming up behind me?”

Today, that can be surprisingly difficult.
Headphones.
Traffic noise.
Dark roads.
Curves.
Poor visibility.
Distracted drivers.
There are countless technologies helping people track their performance.
But very few are focused specifically on helping them understand what is happening around them on the road.

That’s the gap I’m exploring with StradaFit.
A personal road safety system designed for runners, walkers and cyclists with the potential to detect approaching vehicles from behind and provide a simple warning.

The idea is still being developed.
I’m currently looking for the right engineering team, prototype developers, investors, strategic partners and early testers to help determine what this can become.

I’m not interested in building another gadget.
I want to solve a real problem.
And I believe this problem deserves more attention.

If you’re working in safety technology, hardware, mobility, wearables or early-stage investing, I’d be happy to connect.

Some ideas begin with a technology.
Others begin with something people experience every day but rarely stop to think about.

StradaFit began with a question about road awareness: what could help someone become aware of a vehicle approaching from behind without constantly looking back?

That question has become the starting point for developing a personal road-safety system.
Now, the work is about bringing the right elements together: sensing technology, wearable design, engineering, testing, and a path toward manufacturing.

We're working toward a functional prototype and building relationships with people who understand what it takes to move a hardware concept forward.

We know that meaningful innovation requires more than an idea. It takes expertise, collaboration, and the willingness to solve difficult problems.

If you're working in sensing technology, hardware engineering, manufacturing, or early-stage product development, we'd be interested in exchanging ideas.

Imagine walking along a road.
You hear traffic. You know vehicles are nearby. But you don't always know when one is approaching from behind.
So you turn around.

Then again a few moments later.
That constant checking can interrupt your rhythm and take your attention away from what you're doing.

StradaFit is exploring a different approach: detecting approaching vehicles and using vibration to alert the wearer.

The idea is to help people receive an alert without needing to rely on an audio notification or repeatedly turn around to check.

It's a simple user-experience question with an important design challenge behind it:
How can technology help people stay aware without becoming another distraction?

That's the question we're working to answer with StradaFit.
