q: where are you from?
im from atlanta, georgia, and grew up in a lebanese family. i am a first generation american. food and hospitality have always been a big part of my upbringing and who i am today.
q: where did you work previously?
before joining marcel, i worked with jackmont hospitality, overseeing restaurant operations in across the country. most recently, i was the director of operations for bold/ fifth group in atlanta.
q: first food you remember loving?
lebanese food! specifically a grilled chicken dish we call “shish tawook”. growing up, food was always a big part of our family gatherings. some of my best memories revolve around grilling out and being together with family and enjoying a great meal.
q: what inspires you most about being the gm of marcel?
the team. we have an incredibly talented individuals and a restaurant with a great reputation. i enjoy developing people, building relationships, and creating experiences that our guests will remember. there is always an opportunity to be better than we were yesterday and that’s what motivates me.
q: how do you like to spend your days off?
i like to make the most of my time off with my wife by getting outside, discovering new restaurants, and traveling whenever possible. i also enjoy spending time with family and friends, and i’ve also got a little addiction to speed so i can be caught at road atlanta.
