Calling all of our Memphis friends—and neighbors! 📣

Chef Rob is heading back to Memphis on Monday, August 3, to team up with Chefs Andy and Michael Hudman for the first dinner in this year’s Harvest Dinner Series at Hog & Hominy

The evening begins with an outdoor cocktail hour at 6 PM, followed by a family-style dinner at 7 PM and a sweet bite to finish—all in support of Southern Smoke Foundation . Tickets are $125 per person.

Southern Smoke does incredible work caring for the people who care for all of us, providing emergency relief funding and access to mental health services for food and beverage workers nationwide. It’s a mission that means so much to those of us in hospitality, and we’re proud to support it.

Some of the most asked-about pieces in our dining room aren’t on the menu at all.

They’re the plates.

When we were creating Helen, we knew we wanted tableware that felt timeless—something that looked like it could have been part of family gatherings for generations while still feeling at home in our dining room today.

We didn’t start with a collection of antique china. It began with a few treasured family pieces, and over the years, we’ve added to it wherever we could—Facebook Marketplace, flea markets, antique malls, estate sales, thrift stores, and just about anywhere beautiful china was waiting for a second life.

We’re never searching for one specific pattern. Instead, we’re drawn to pieces that complement the food, tell a story, and add a little character to the table.

For many of us, fine china was only brought out for holidays and special occasions. We loved the idea of bringing that same feeling into everyday dining. Whether you’re celebrating an anniversary, a birthday, closing a business deal, or simply gathering around the table on a Tuesday evening, we hope every visit to Helen feels like an occasion.

Every plate has a history. Now, it gets to be part of yours. 🍽️✨

Happy Father’s Day to the dads of Helen . 💞

Today we’re celebrating the fathers, grandfathers, father figures, and mentors on our team and in our community.

In restaurants, so much of life happens around the table. We know some of the most meaningful memories are connected to meals shared with family, traditions passed down through generations, and the people who taught us how to care for others through food.

We are grateful for the dads on our team and all they do both inside and outside our walls.

We also loved seeing Chef Rob recently featured in an InsideHook story about the most important meal his father ever made. What began as a humble pot of braised rutabaga became a lasting connection to family, tradition, and home.
