The bag says “cocoa and citrus.” You taste… coffee. Sound familiar?

You’re not failing a taste test.

Hi, I’m Kasey, the founder behind Copper Kettle Coffee and Tea. In Inside the Kettle, Episode 9, we’re moving beyond the words on the bag and discovering what you notice in your cup.

Smell before you sip. Take a small taste when your coffee is comfortably warm, then try it again as it cools. Notice the flavor, how it feels, and what lingers.

Start simple. “Nutty,” “chocolatey,” or even “warm toast” is a place to begin. You don’t need fancy words—and you don’t have to match every note on the label.

The goal isn’t to sound like a coffee expert. It’s to discover what you enjoy and make your everyday coffee moment a little more meaningful.

In my “I’ll circle back after this cup” era.

I saw the email. I’m just letting it steep.

A full inbox doesn’t mean you have to run on empty. Take the sip. Take the breath. Then hit reply.

Same coffee. Same brewer. So why does it taste different today?

Before you give up on your favorite beans, try one small change.

Welcome to Inside the Kettle, Episode 8. I’m Kasey, Founder of Copper Kettle Coffee and Tea and today we’re troubleshooting the little brewing mishaps that can get between you and a cup you love.

If your coffee tastes bitter or drying, try a slightly coarser grind. If it’s sour or thin, try a slightly finer grind. These are starting points—your roast, water, and recipe matter, too.

Keep your grind consistent, check your brewing temperature, and give your equipment a proper clean. Then change one thing at a time so you know what actually helped.

A good coffee ritual doesn’t have to be complicated or picture-perfect. It can be a familiar mug, a few quiet minutes, and learning what tastes good to you.

Love a bold, dark-roast cup? Our Italian Roast Coffee – Dark Roast Blend is a delicious place to start experimenting.

Save this guide for your next brew. Tell me what’s happening in your cup: bitter, sour, or different every day?

Let your Sunday reset be a moment to savor, not another thing to finish.

Sometimes it’s a warm cup, a blank page, and a few quiet minutes before the week begins. You don’t have to have everything figured out to make space for something good.

Today’s cup: Masala Chai—bold black tea and warming spice for a slower Sunday ritual.

What small ritual brings warmth to your week ahead? Share yours below.

My schedule is full. So is my heart.

Between my job and my business, life moves fast. Before today’s meeting, I’m taking seven minutes to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with my why.

Serving others keeps me grounded. It brings perspective to the busy days and meaning to the hard ones. It’s not always easy—but I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a difference.

Sometimes, balance isn’t about doing less. It’s about remembering what matters.

Pause. Reset. Return with purpose.

Warmly, Kasey (Founder, Copper Kettle Coffee and Tea)

Welcome to the weekend. Let go of the rush and make room for what matters—slow mornings, meaningful moments, and the people who feel like home.

You don’t have to earn your rest. Take a breath, reconnect, and begin again.

What’s one thing you’re making time for this weekend?

Same beans. Different brew. A whole new ritual.

Inside the Kettle · Episode 7: Find Your Favorite Brew.

Easy mornings with drip. Rich, slow moments with French press. A bold espresso. Or the hands-on joy of pour over.

There’s no one “right” way to love coffee—just the cup that feels right for you. Try something new, notice what you taste, and make the ritual your own.

Your coffee doesn’t need a side of notifications.

Not every quiet moment has to become a productive one. You can enjoy your first cup without catching up, checking in, or turning it into another task.

Seven minutes. Phone down. Coffee warm.
Offline doesn’t mean falling behind.

What’s one thing that can wait until after your coffee?
