What began as a small fundraising idea quickly became something much bigger - a celebration of community, hospitality, culture, and purpose.

Tonight, some of the Rio Grande Valley’s most celebrated culinary talent will come together in support of Blood Cancer United and the Visionaries of the Year campaign.

I’m incredibly grateful to every chef, sponsor, donor, volunteer, creator, and guest who believed in this vision and helped bring it to life.

The RGV Culinary Collective is proud to welcome Las Ramblas of Brownsville, Texas as the featured bar experience for our upcoming Blood Cancer United Visionaries of the Year campaign event. 🍸

Under the direction of Beverage Director Chris Galicia, Las Ramblas has helped redefine cocktail culture in the Rio Grande Valley through elevated hospitality, thoughtful cocktail programs, and a nationally recognized bar experience.

Las Ramblas was recognized as a James Beard Award Finalists for Outstanding Bar in both 2023 and 2024 - placing Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley on the national culinary stage.

This night is about more than incredible food and cocktails.
It’s about community, purpose, and uniting to fight blood cancer.

Guests will experience signature cocktails, curated hospitality, and an unforgettable evening alongside some of the region’s most celebrated culinary talent.

The RGV Culinary Collective is proud to welcome Vera’s Backyard Bar-B-Que of Brownsville, Texas as a featured restaurant for our upcoming Blood Cancer United Visionaries of the Year campaign event. ❤️

A true Texas institution, Vera’s Backyard Bar-B-Que was recognized with the prestigious James Beard Award for America’s Classics in 2020 - honoring legendary locally owned restaurants with timeless regional significance.

For generations, Vera’s has preserved one of South Texas’ oldest culinary traditions through its iconic “Barbacoa en Pozo” - traditional underground pit-cooked barbacoa prepared using historic methods deeply rooted in the culture and heritage of the Rio Grande Valley.

Through tradition, craftsmanship, and authentic South Texas barbecue, Vera’s continues to represent the culinary soul of Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley.

Jessica Delgado is a respected philanthropist, hospitality leader, and former Visionaries of the Year candidate whose passion for community impact continues to shape the Rio Grande Valley.

Together, Jessica and Larry have built two of the region’s most beloved culinary concepts - Salt New American Table and House Wine Bistro - known for elevated hospitality, amazing cuisine, and unwavering support of the local community.
