Before there was bourbon and before there was beer, there was cider… and it helped build a nation. 🍎🍻

On July 23, join the incomparable Heather McKechney, The Intoxicating Professor, for one of the most surprisingly thrilling tastings of the year. Cider is having its moment, and once you taste what American craft cider makers are doing today, you’ll wonder how this drink ever went out of style.

Heather will guide you through the remarkable and deliciously dramatic story of America’s original drink: how cider fueled colonial life, how the apple became a symbol of American ingenuity, how Prohibition nearly wiped it from existence entirely and how a passionate modern craft revival is bringing it back better than ever, blending centuries-old tradition with cutting-edge science. 🍏

Along the way, you’ll taste a handpicked lineup of exceptional U.S. ciders that capture the full spectrum of American flavor and innovation: from crisp and classic to bold and boundary-pushing. And because every great sip deserves a great bite, each pour is paired with a stunning nosh plate by NYK Resident Chef Pamela Cecere. ✨🧀

Time is running out to sign up for this Saturday's Region of the Year, In Your Glass: Celebrating the Wine Star Award! 🌟 Sign up now: nykitchen.com/event/regionoftheyear

When Wine Enthusiast named the Finger Lakes its Domestic Wine Region of the Year, it wasn’t just a headline. It was the culmination of decades of passion, perseverance, and an unshakeable belief that this breathtaking stretch of upstate New York could stand shoulder to shoulder with the greatest wine regions in the world. Spoiler alert: it can. Now it’s time to celebrate!

Join Kyle Pallischeck, Director of Programs at the New York Wine & Grape Foundation, for an experience that is equal parts education, inspiration, and pure joy. Kyle brings a rare insider’s perspective – she knows these producers, these vineyards, and these wines intimately, and she’s here to share their stories with you.

Through personal tales of the growers, winemakers, and visionaries who put the Finger Lakes on the map, Kyle will paint a vivid picture of why this region didn’t just deserve this award, it was destined for it. And of course, you won’t just hear about the wines that made history.

Saturday's sold out Producer Masterclass with Meaghan Frank of Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery was an incredible afternoon of exceptional Finger Lakes wines and inspiring storytelling.

As Konstantin Frank's great-granddaughter and the first woman in her family to lead the winery, Meaghan shared how she's honoring her family's legacy while shaping its future. Together we explored the wines and stories behind the HELM series, with each wine paying tribute to four of the Frank women whose dedication helped sustain and strengthen the winery across generations: Hilda, Eugenia, Lena, and Margrit.

These are the kinds of stories you can only experience by hearing directly from the people behind the product.

This class sold out, and seating for our Producer Masterclasses is intentionally limited. If you've been thinking about attending an upcoming class, don't wait to register, secure your seat before it's gone: nykitchen.com/calendar/!

✨🍇Join us for our next installment of our Producer Masterclass Series featuring winemaker Julia Alvarez-Perez of Buttonwood Grove Winery and Usonia Wine on Saturday, August 22.
