When David and I first started Fat Peach Bakery, we didn’t dream of winning awards or getting recognition. We just wanted to be an active part of our neighborhood and build something that could support our growing family.

So, to be a nominee for the 2027 Banchet Awards Pastry Program of the Year is such an incredible honor—and honestly, still feels a little unbelievable. We can’t really put into words how grateful we are for the community that continues to support us and cheer us on, our families who helped us clean up the space and get it ready to open, and, of course, our amazing team.

Big congratulations to all of our fellow nominees! We’re so honored to be included alongside so many talented people. 🎉🥳

It’s the last week of the !😭🍫

This Saturday & Sunday, we’re featuring David ‘s Hazelnut Chocolate Danish with mango-mandarin curd and toasted hazelnuts.

The chocolate component is a namelaka made with Callebaut Chocolate’s São Tomé 70% chocolate, adding a rich, deep chocolate flavor to balance the tart fruit curd.

Big thanks to Callebaut for letting us play with their chocolate! We had so much fun coming up with different ways to highlight such a high-quality, special ingredient.🤎

Week 2 of our is here, and it’s Nicole’s (Paula (Nicole) López) week! ✨👏

This week’s creation is a plantain cake with mango gel, arroz con leche crémeux made with white chocolate courtesy of Callebaut Chocolate Academy USA, and toasted rice crunchies.

When we asked Nicole about her inspiration, this is what she had to say: “Nostalgia. Usually when the leaves start to change and it starts getting cooler, my mom would make a big pot of arroz con leche for the family. We’d gather and just be one. It’s beautiful to me that I can create this, especially during Hispanic Heritage Month!”

We’re so excited for you guys to try this one! As before, it’ll be in the case today and tomorrow only, so come grab one while you can! ❤️
