The Summer Exhibit at Lula is here! â
â
First, weâre greeted with Neon âRainbowsâ by Zoelle Nagib (Zoelle Nagib), whose current artwork explores themes of queerness, motherhood, and memory. She lives in Chicago and is the Director of Lightwriters Neon where she is a neon fabricator and educator.â
â
Around the corner in the dining room, Jean Cateâs (Jean Cate) atmospheric paintings draw inspiration from the ever-changing and dramatic forces of nature, using watercolor, pastel, ink, and salt on raw birch wood panels. She is drawn to how visual metaphors mirror the experience of life and consciousness.â
â
Together, their practices explore different manifestations of energy and change, creating a dialogue between constructed presence, the natural world, and how each shapes the experience of space.â
â
Join us for the opening reception on Tuesday, June 30th from 6-9pm. Complimentary bites, cash bar, and plenty of opportunities to sit with the work.â
â
Hope to see you there! âĄď¸ đŠď¸
