✨Business Spotlight!✨
The Wooden Looms - Elizabeth Wood
📌139 5th Avenue South, Clinton, IA

The Wooden Looms offers yarn, beautiful custom made hand-woven and hand-knitted items, as well as knitting, crocheting, and weaving classes. She will also do custom work. The Wooden Looms is the only locally owned yarn shop in the area.

Beth Wood is the owner and operator. She teaches the classes, creates beautiful, hand-crafted items, and helps other fiber artists.

She also co-hosted this year's yarn bombing of 5th Avenue south with The Felix Adler Children's Discovery Center. The yarn bombing was a temporary art installation that took place from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Artists came together to cover 5th Avenue south in beautiful yarn projects. The event may be coming back next summer so keep an eye out for any information.

The Wooden Looms came to Downtown Clinton 2.5 years ago when Beth found the perfect storefront to fit her vision. She has used her time downtown well, bringing many unique shoppers and artists to the area.

The Wooden Looms would like to say, "Soon, there will be a Ghost in the shop!"

🎃🍬 What a SWEET afternoon downtown! 👻

Downtown was buzzing with Halloween fun as busloads of kiddos from the after-school program along with tons more kiddos filled our streets with costumes, smiles, and excitement!

Blocks of local businesses opened their doors and handed out HUNDREDS of pieces of candy, making sure our little trick-or-treaters went home with full bags and big smiles. And of course, the Troll Depot was ready to welcome visitors and add a little extra magic to the afternoon!

A huge THANK YOU to all the businesses, volunteers, and everyone who helped make today so special. It takes a community to create memories like these, and ours showed up in the sweetest way!

Small-town charm, big community spirit, and a whole lot of Halloween happiness!

✨Business Spotlight!✨

Whimsy's TEApothecary
📌126 5th Ave south, Clinton, IA

Whimsy's TEApothecary carries a wide variety of stones and crystals, a full apothecary of herbs and loose-leaf teas, ethically sourced bones, as well as spiritual tools. You never know what you'll find as they carry a little bit of everything for everyone. They welcome all walks of life regardless of religion, how you practice, race, gender, or identity. Not only do they offer a shopping experience, but they also offer class and workshops, events, ceremonies, readers, crafters, and host the historical ghost tours of the old Lamb Block, the Curtis Mansion, and Heritage Canyon.

The owners are Mark and Makena Casey and they are the powerhouse behind the business. They also have three apprentices Jasmine, Alex, and Becca who are learning and volunteering

Whimsy's TEApothecary has been downtown for 3 years but the business will be 8 years old in November. They love the sense of community, the many downtown events, as well as much better parking and easier access to the store front. Plus, they say downtown is beautiful.

A word from Whimsy's TEApothecary: "Our tour season ends this month and won't be back until next year. Tickets are limited so make sure to get them before they are gone for the season. We also have our sacred circle coming up November 6th and 7th. This is a celebration of the shop turning 8 as well as a test run of our Tea Bar. This event has tickets for speakers, special classes, and ceremonies."
