We have some important news to share about The Main Moose.

After exploring a potential sale of the restaurant, things did not move forward as we had hoped. Because of this, The Main Moose will remain closed for the 2026 season.

This was not an easy decision, and we know it may come as a disappointment to so many of you who have supported us over the years. We are incredibly grateful for the memories, the loyal customers, pets, and the community that has made this place so special.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on what the future holds. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

After 7 wonderful years, we’re closing our doors ❤️

To our amazing customers, thank you for seven years of support, friendship, and so many great memories. We’ve loved meeting each and every one of you (and your dogs!) and seeing this community come together around our little family restaurant.

It’s bittersweet to say, but we’ve decided it’s time to close The Main Moose. This wasn’t an easy choice, but after years of hard work, we’re ready to spend more time with family, travel a bit, and make memories with our grandkids. We’re sad to say goodbye, but the grandkids are very excited to spend more time with Mimi and Papa!

We also want to give a huge shoutout to our incredible staff, past and present. We truly couldn’t have done this without them. They’ve become like family to us.

Our hope is that the right owner will come along and take The Main Moose to the next level.

And just to clear the air, we’ve heard a few rumors about why we’re closing, but the truth is simple: we’re ready to slow down and enjoy life a little.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our story. We’ll miss you all and will cherish these memories forever. ❤️

Meet 12-year-old Minnie from Florida. She just loves the moose and is enjoying her mom’s butter pecan ice cream. Her favorite past time is playing with her cousin Chloe and barking out the window at people passing by.

The Moose will be open for three more hours. We have quite a bit of clam strips left so $11 Clam strip dinners with french fries and coleslaw.
