Four people, a cat, a dog, eight fish, four aquatic snails and a baby snail all survived a house fire Sunday in Cooper Landing.

Update: Thank you to all that have donated, called and been there for them! Wilson and Jack are in need of cleaning supplies. Mop, wipes, dawn, paper towels, Lysol, etc. If they can borrow a steamer that would be very helpful. They also need totes and buckets to help sort and organize. They are trying to salvage what they can. Cleaning supplies can be put into the yellow van still parked in front of their burned house on Edwards St. There's a lot going on trying to coordinate everything, while moving, so this is the easiest way! Thank you Cooper Landing for being such an outstanding community!

Yesterday a house fire destroyed the home of our employee Jack and dear friend Wilson (Owner of Hotroot) 💔 The hardship of winter is well known to us and we can not imagine losing everything, especially at this time of year! We have so much respect and love for this couple! Jack worked so hard for us this summer! He made amazing food, safe guarded our standards and took excellent care of our beloved customers all with a smile and can do spirit! Wilson pursued her dream with her food tent and was our neighbor- serving excellent and healthy soups, burritos and biscuits with gravy! They have been a part of our community since 2017 and have contributed so much. I hope we are able to step up in whatever way we can for them and their survival going into winter 💔

Last Day!!! Time to close down for the season and get ready for our further adventures! We would like to thank all our amazing patrons for making this a great year!
