Somebody just shared it’s National Hug Your Cat Day. (Thanks a lot, Darren)

In lieu of hugs, we’re gonna give the best little gentleman one more montage to say goodbye.

Also want to say I so greatly appreciate the outpouring of love and shared pictures. It’s just a great reminder of how awesome of a life Aramis had and how he connected with so many people.

I’ve been crying a lot around the brewery and probably will continue to do so, his impact was so huge around here but there’s no shame in loving big and showing it.

It’s with a heavy heart and many tears that we must inform you that Aramis passed away earlier today.

He was bravely battling an unknown illness that progressed very rapidly. We all fought hard to help him pull through but in the end he succumbed surrounded by some of his favorite people.

Aramis came into our lives at the start of 2020 (first video of the clip, January 2020) as a scrappy, lovable alley cat and i’d say we hit the lottery as far as the cat distribution network goes.

He quickly made our 8000sq/ft brewery his home and won over everyone that met him. He was and always will be the sweetest kitty in the whole wide worlds.

He will be greatly missed by everyone as he may have been the most popular brewery team member of all time. As Mike Elliott said “he’s been the employee of the month since he joined the team.”

I know he meant a lot to a lot of you and want you to know that we fought as hard as we possibly could and exhausted every possible means to help him.

We are definitely going to have a celebration of life at some point but this is all too fresh to truly think about that. Squeeze your fur babies (and your people) extra hard today for Aramis’ sake.

Rest in Peace Aramis. AKA Little Bisquie Boy, AKA Mr. Mr., AKA Mr. Cat, AKA Aramister. You were the best napper, the best brew buddy, and the kindest soul I’ll ever know.

Tapping this Friday: Maneki Neko, Japanese Rice Lager with Yuzu!

Our most anticipated summer seasonal is almost here! Brewed with pilsner, and jasmine rice, lagered for a month, and treated to a healthy dose of 100% Yuzu Juice, Maneki Neko is your go-to summer patio pounder.

Maneki Neko, Japanese Rice Lager getting the Yuzu treatment.

Our long awaited Japanese Rice Lager with Yuzu returns to the taps on Friday, June 5th.

Yuzu is a small citrus fruit, native to Japan, that imparts delicate notes of lemon, orange, and hints of mint to this light lager. Brewed using Pilsner Malt and Jasmine Rice, lightly hopped with Citra, and lagered for 4 weeks. Yuzu juice was added right before carbonation giving this light lager a summer shandy feel.

This year the bulk containers were unavailable to us so we had to go with the Liter bottles. Many, many, many liter bottles. Haha.

POV: You hit the hop storage hard for a new IPA!

We’re brewing up something really fun today, a big ole’ West Coast IPA with a massive charge of classic hops.

Amarillo, Simcoe, and Mosaic T90 and T45 are front and center in this yet-to-be-named West Coast and with about 5lbs/bbl dry hop plus a 7% ABV it’s as West Coast as they get.

Tomorrow is our big Long Weekend Kickoff Party with cooking up Burgers and Cheesesteaks starting at 5pm. Matt Espy is playing at 6pm.
