For about as long as our doors have been open Amos Love and his family was part of our story. He created our very first bakery sign when we decided to expand and start doing cakes and all these years later, he recently created another sign for us. This was about the time we were facing not knowing how much longer we would be here but praying having a new sign would help. Somehow, it feels like we've come full circle.
But when you've known someone this long, it's never really been about signs.
Over the years, Amos, his family and the whole Beacon Rescue Mission family have become part of our story. They've celebrated with us, encouraged us, and stood beside us through more projects than I can count. From finding someone to help with the roof (Urbano and his crew) to working to replace our stained-glass windows, they've always been willing to lend a hand and share their talents.
But what we treasure most isn't the work they've done.
It's the friendship.
It's knowing there are people who have quietly cheered you on from the beginning and continue to show up years later.
That's a gift.
