We’re not surprised, Seth always seems to pop up at just the right time. Downtown Dunn, definitely has a great community attitude and some of the best neighbors around. Lexie and the Chi - Home Goods & Furniture Market were always happy to help.

Story time… 🩵

This is one of those moments that reminds us why we love being in downtown Dunn.

These three beauties made the trip to visit us and fell in love with two beautiful antique pieces—a secretary hutch and an end table. We couldn’t have been happier for them!

Then reality set in…that gorgeous secretary hutch was one solid piece and weighed a ton. 😅

Without hesitation, our neighbor Seth from Coffee on Broad stepped in to help. He guided our customer as she parallel parked her husband’s truck in front of the shop, helped me wrestle that heavy hutch into the truck, and then he and Camille carefully strapped everything down to make sure it was safe for the ride home.

All of this happened in what felt like 2,000-degree heat. 🥵🤣

Moments like this are exactly why we say, Dunn continues to grow, but its heart hasn’t changed.

Around here, neighbors still help neighbors. Business owners cheer each other on. Strangers become friends. It’s the kind of community where people simply show up when someone needs a hand, and that’s something really special.

A heartfelt thank you to Seth for dropping what he was doing to help us out. If you’re spending a day in downtown Dunn, be sure to stop by Coffee on Broad. Great coffee is just the beginning—it’s the people who make it such a special place.

Well it was almost perfect timing if there is such a thing. Unfortunately our AC at the shop has gone out and we’ve had to close down a little early today. Thank goodness it lasted through the morning. Hopefully it’ll be fixed by Monday morning. Stay tuned.. stay cool!

We are so excited for this years summer workshop production of Junie B Jones Jr. If you have littles that would like to watch the show or if you would just like to support our local kids, make sure to get your tickets.

It is community events like this that give the extra spark to small town living. We have consulted with ”Lunch Lady Gladys Gutzman” and created the TOP SECRET PERSONAL BEESWAX LATTE in recognition of the hard work all the kids are doing.

Harnett Regional Theatre is doing a fantastic job working with our youths, some of which are first year students. The show will no doubt be a great time.

Tonight’s book club filled out the Library Room. Some nights are a smaller group some are larger but every time is filled with great conversation. If you’re interested in joining next month stop by any HC public library, check out the next book and just show up. You may find your community.

There are always friends to be found at the bar! This has been one of our favorite features of the shop. Our coffee bar has become a gathering place for old friends, new friends or getting work done while chatting with the baristas. If you’re lucky enough to grab a seat at the bar we’d love to have you, you may even make a friend.
