🗓 Tuesday–Thursday: 11 AM – 6 PM
🗓 Friday–Saturday: 12 PM – 11 PM
🗓 Sunday: 12 PM – 6 PM

As many of you know, Street Food Kingz isn’t a franchise—it’s a business that I personally own & operate every day. I’m also a father, so there may be an occasional day off for my child, or responsibilities that require me to open a little late or adjust my schedule. I appreciate your understanding.

If business is slow during the last hour of the day, I may close a little early so my staff can get home after working a long shift.

I understand that many of you didn’t get your empanadas today, had to cancel your order, or waited longer than expected.

Please understand that we had over 70 pre-orders scheduled for the same pickup time, and my team and I were doing everything we could to keep up.

I know many of you are new customers, and many of you have been supporting us for a long time. We are usually well prepared, but today was extremely insane, and I truly tried my best to keep up with all the orders.

I’m not mad or upset with anyone about today. I’m actually very grateful for everyone who waited patiently and showed kindness to my team and me.

I truly appreciate this community for showing up and supporting us the way you do. I know some of you drove from far away, and I promise I will make it up to you.

In the following weeks, we will be bringing back the same special, and this time we’ll be even more prepared to serve more of you.

Today really broke my heart.

Because of the rainout, I lost thousands of dollars in inventory, supplies, and preparation. My tent leg snapped, and after being awake since yesterday getting everything ready, I’m honestly exhausted, discouraged, and hurt.

Street vending is already hard. We put so much time, money, energy, and hope into showing up for these events. When something like this happens, it doesn’t just feel like a bad day — it feels like a major setback.

But what hurts me the most is my team. They’ve been grinding with me, even on their days off, because they believe in me and what we’re building. Today, I felt like I let them down, and that hurts more than anything.

I truly believe this event should have been postponed by the City of Elgin hours earlier, or even the day before, so vendors could have had a fair chance to protect their hard work and avoid such a big loss.

I love what I do, but today really made me question if I can ever do street vending again…

Loving the new window logos! 🙌🏽🔥 This is a big accomplishment for me. Six years ago, I started selling food from my alleyway, then a ghost kitchen, street vendor and now seeing the Street Food Kingz brand at our local brick and mortar Dream Hall means a lot.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported the journey — we’re just getting started! 🇵🇷🫶🏼
