We’ll be closed today, Tuesday, May 12th for a private event as the restaurant is fully bought out for the evening.

That also means no Tasting Menu Tuesday tonight but don’t worry, it’ll be back next Tuesday with another new menu worth making plans around.

We’ll see you the rest of the week. 🍷

It’s the kind of dish that starts with “I’ll just have a few bites” and ends with a clean bowl and a piece of bread chasing the last bit of sauce.

The transition into spring means cleaner flavors and brighter plates.

Pacific halibut, set over crisp Yukon rösti with asparagus and pea shoots, finished with sauce vin blanc and basil oil. Light, layered, and simply delicious.

Meet the Askegaards 🌾 A family whose roots run deep in the Red River Valley and whose passion for the land continues to grow with each generation. Mark Askegaard has dedicated his life to organic agriculture and strengthening local food systems.

At the Askegaard's farm south of Moorhead, farming is truly a family effort. Alongside her father Mark, Beth McConnon carries on the legacy for a sixth generation.

At Mezzaluna, we are proud to partner with families like the Askegaards who are committed to doing things the right way. Their dedication to regenerative practices align directly with our commitment to sourcing local, high-quality ingredients as much as possible. It's about supporting local farmers, strengthening our community, and keeping those connections close to home. ❤️

Currently find their wheatberries on our duck, their whole wheat flour in our rustic loaf served alongside burrata, and their whole flaxseed garnishing our dinner rolls.

We had this reel on standby but we didn’t think it would get used in April.

Roads are slow, parking is slower but we’ll make sure it feel like it’s the right decision.

We are SO excited about tonight’s Tuesday Tasting Menu.

Our chef de cuisine, , recently returned from a three week trip to Vietnam, and instead of “inspired by”, this is pulled straight from what he ate, saw, and brought back with him.

First course starts delicate. bánh bột lọc. Chewy tapioca dumplings with pork and shrimp. Soft, slightly warm and accompanied by nước chấm.

The second course brightens. gỏi gà. A sharp, herb heavy chicken salad with crunch, heat and balance.

The third course finishes deep. phở vịt. Duck confit in a spiced broth poured table side, layered with warmth and richness.

This isn’t a greatest hits version of Vietnamese food. It’s a snapshot of a trip, translated through our kitchen for one night.
