It’s warming up and that means açai bowls are back for the season at the Salty Fox!

Returning is the local favorite: the Islander Bowl (pictured). Alongside it we have an all new bowl: the Blueberry Bliss Bowl. Packed with fresh blueberries & bananas, almonds, coconuts, chia seeds and honey; this bowl is as refreshing and tasty as it is good for your gut!! 🫐 🍓 🍌

Our Acai Bowl has flown South for the season, but our Rice Bowls are here to stay on our year round menu!

The Pesto Bowl, Portobello Broccoli Bowl and Banzo Bowl represent an effort to offer more healthful breakfast and lunch options here on San Juan Island -- and to do so at an affordable price for hearty, real food.

Plus they're all gluten free, and the Banzo and Portobello Broccoli Bowls are vegan, too!

Just a little before-and-after of today's Bacon Cheddar Croissants.

We're loving this cooler weather... It makes all the baking we do here at Salty Fox so much more enjoyable.

With pumpkin season on the horizon, we've been trying out a few recipes for a Pumpkin Croissant. Stay tuned for that one -- and if you come by this week, we might have a few in the pastry case from a test batch depending on the day!

We have some beautiful new pottery in our marketplace from Christina Grifo, a local artist here on San Juan Island!

They're part of our effort to offer more work from creators and artists here in our island community. Check them out next time you're here for a drink or some breakfast!

Michael stopped by the back window for his usual Decaf Iced Americano today and brought along his new pup Baloo.

We always have dog biscuits (or pup cups) handy at the back window, just ask when you order. That way both you AND your dog will have something to look forward to here at Salty Fox!

BIG restock of these lovely cards from local artist Devon Morris! We've got some new designs, including the Mausoleum, the harbor, and Salty at Heart. We also restocked favorite designs like the Crab House, Brickworks, and (of course) Salty Fox. We have twelve designs in total, all featuring local landmarks.

Today is Aiyana's last day at Salty Fox for this summer season! She's been slinging drinks and absolutely crushing it in the kitchen for years, most recently joining our crew in during the summer season when she's on break from her math studies on the East Coast. She's often bouncing between roles, rolling out twelve sheets of croissants one minute, sending out food orders a moment later, and hopping on bar to crank out great drinks the next.

So if you're coming by today, give Aiyana a wave and a farewell on behalf of the island! Hopefully she'll be back next summer 🤞

In this photo she's rockin' an afternoon cup of Rooibos Tea off our new(ish) Tea Menu, which brings together some of our fav teas from Smith Teamaker.

❌ DON'T roll into line in a panic right as your ferry is loading.

✅ DO line up early, leave your car, and enjoy a Cinnamon Roll on the patio while you watch the ferry meander into the dock, sun on your face, breeze at your back.

If you've come by Salty Fox this summer you probably know Bubble. She's part of our all-important seasonal crew, and you'll usually find her right in the thick of things up front at the register on busy weekend days.

Her drink of choice is an iced Green Tea Lemonade -- one of our summer tea combos.

It's hard to take a great photo of a breakfast sandwich... They're just here to be delicious!

Mark added roasted peppers, micro greens, and our house-made Sriracha to this sausage breakfast sandwich on an english muffin.

If you haven't been by Salty Fox recently, breakfast sausage is a somewhat recent addition to the menu, and it's here to stay.

The micro greens and the peppers are more of a secret add-on, taken from our Pesto Bowl and Banzo Bowl... But if you know, you know 😉
