Re: TONIGHT'S SHOW. Quite a number of tickets have sold. We have table seating, standing room, and bar seating tonight. If you need to be seated, make sure you come early and claim a seat!

As always, it's a small place, you might have to sit with someone you don't know.

This will be a good show. It's not a usual one though. It's a pay-attention thing for sure. We'll be closing the bars/kitchen during the actual music sets so it won't be noisy, and so our crew can watch. Everything open before, after and between sets. Come for the music!

Tomorrow's Scott McCaughey show is sold out! But plan to join us July 13, for the return of NC's Magic Tuber Stringband, along with Nau Nau.

We're adding a couple salads to the food menu. We are all excited about the "beans and greens" salad: a light and tangy garbanzo salad on a bed of spring greens, with cucumber and olive oil. Simple, light, and very refreshing.

We also have a newly revamped house salad. Spring greens with cucumber, tomato, pickled red onions, and goat cheese. Choice of our two (i think great) housemade dressings: balsamic vinaigrette or clatter ranch.

We also made a change to how we serve our overnight oats: when ordered "for here" they'll come in a bowl. It's a nicer presentation and easier to mix stuff around. To-go will come in a cup as usual.

We also got a different, crunchier pita chip for the hummus and chips.

Four new sandwiches join the menu today. A caprese sandwich: fresh mozzarella, basil pesto, tomato, balsamic and spring greens. A BLT, bacon, spring greens and mayo. A tuna salad sandwich. A black bean and avocado sandwich with tomato, pickled onion, spicy mayo.

We had a good training day today, trying to make the rollout of our new food items as smooth as possible. More goes into it than you might think. There will be hiccups, but overall we're feeling good. In this summer pivot, some of your favorites might disappear for awhile, and i apologize for those disappointments. Those items are: pretzel, cornfed bowl, all rice bowls, frittata, brunch salad.

Feel free to message me to advocate for what you hope comes back, that's helpful info. If there are any frustrations, obviously, please don't take it out on the baristas. More info about the new items in the coming days.

I am very excited for this show. Sometimes our shows are well-attended, sometimes not. I know that we are putting amazing, original and traditional work on the stage that is absolutely top level. A lot of people are missing it. Fine. I know the way to get crowds is to book a Rod Stewart Tribute Band or whatever. But this show, a radical and beautiful combination of traditional and experimental oldtime music (along with the humble and magnificent songcraft of Michael Nau), is going to floor everyone who comes to it. I don't care how many that is, but i do hope you are one of them.

Summer menu change: we'll be making some changes to the food menu, starting Wednesday, July 1.
Expect some new sandwiches, salads, lighter fare. All of our most popular items remain, but some things will go. Most notably, rice bowls, frittata and grits are taking a break. More info soon, but wanted you to know!
