🎵 A Friendly Reminder About the Jukebox 🎵
👉🏻One of the things that makes The Poison Apple special is our crowd. We are incredibly lucky to have such a diverse group of patrons. On any given night, you'll find people in their 20s hanging out with people in their 70s, and music lovers who enjoy everything from Britney Spears to Hank Williams, from classic rock to heavy metal and deathcore. That's part of what makes this place unique.
👉🏻If someone is spending their money to play songs on the jukebox, they're welcome to play what they enjoy, as long as it isn't offensive.
Not everyone is going to like every song that comes on, and that's okay. The same music you're upset about or clutching your pearls over might be exactly how the person who played it feels about your country music, classic rock, rap, pop, or whatever your favorite genre happens to be. The difference is they respect your song choice and keep their comments to themselves.
👉🏻You don't have to like what's playing, but you do have to respect the people around you. There's no need for rude comments, eye rolls, or making someone feel bad because their taste in music is different from yours.
At the end of the day, it's just a song. In a few minutes, another one will come on. What lasts a lot longer is the impression we leave on the people around us.
👉🏻Let's continue making The Poison Apple the welcoming neighborhood bar it's become. Respect each other, enjoy the variety, and remember that a place where everyone feels comfortable is a lot more fun than a place where everyone has to like the same things.
Thanks for helping us keep the good vibes going. 🍎🖤
