🌿 Finishing out our wedding calendar…🌿

As we deliver one of our final wedding cakes for Taylor & Colin, we can honestly say this season feels bittersweet.

We will truly miss being a small part of so many beautiful love stories and celebrating some incredibly special couples over the years. There is something so meaningful about creating a cake that becomes part of a wedding day memory. ✨

But… if we said we weren’t at least a little thrilled to leave behind the level of wedding-week stress, timeline juggling, late nights, and “please let everything stack perfectly” moments… well… we’d be fibbing. 😅

Today’s romantic tiered cake, with all its vintage-inspired details and soft sage ribbon touches, is headed out to celebrate Taylor & Colin, and we couldn’t be more honored to help sweeten their special day.

Way Back Wednesday 🤭

Instagram showed me a memory from 11 years ago, when I first started this baking side hustle. I was shocked when I saw the photo that they reminded me of. 🫣

11 years ago, I never dreamed that a cake would need to be supported with plastic bubble straws and leveled but now… That is a must! 📐

While I still got rave reviews on this cake, (see the comments) it looked like it was going to topple over and I am amazed that during transport, it didn’t do just that! 🫠

Baking is quite literally a science project. And I was never good at science! I was the artsy-fartsy kid! 🎨

While my art gets reflected in my cakes, I had to learn… A lot… Over the years about what it takes to make baking successful.

I did get a rave review for this cake, but looking back on it….yikes! 😳
