🥩 KINGWOOD WE ARE GETTING A NEW STEAKHOUSE!

And not just any steakhouse.

Table 7 Prime Steakhouse is coming to Kings Harbor, and they have officially selected Thomas Nguyen as executive chef.

Nguyen is bringing more than 20 years of culinary experience to the restaurant after opening multiple concepts and serving as executive chef for several hospitality groups.

His vision for Table 7 is centered around:

🥩 Premium steaks
✨ Quality ingredients
🍷 An elevated dining experience
🤝 Genuine hospitality

And honestly, this is exactly the kind of dining addition Kingwood has been needing.

A waterfront steakhouse at Kings Harbor?

Girl… date night, anniversary dinner, business dinner, “I just wanted to dress up” dinner. We are making reservations for no reason. 😂

Construction began in April on the approximately 3,600-square-foot space, with the renovation project valued at around $1 million.

Construction is expected to wrap up in October, although an official opening date has not been announced yet.

📍 1660 W. Lake Houston Parkway, Ste. 105, Kingwood
🔗 www.kings-harbor.com

Now the real question:

What does Table 7 need to have on the menu to win Kingwood over?

A perfect ribeye?
Seafood tower?
Truffle mac and cheese?
Tableside desserts?
A really good happy hour? 👀👇🏽

Because if they are giving us elevated waterfront steakhouse energy, I need the whole experience.

List Your Business or Add Your Favorite Local Spot
The Livable Forest® Community Guide

The Community Guide is not just for business owners.

It is for residents, regulars, neighborhood experts, and anyone who knows a place the community should not miss.

You can add your own business, but you can also list:

✨ Your favorite brunch spot
✨ The coffee shop you always recommend
✨ A boutique you love
✨ A great summer camp or class
✨ A trusted beauty or wellness provider
✨ A professional or local service you have actually used
✨ A hidden gem more people should know about

Categories include:

• Beauty & Wellness
• Brunch & Lunch
• Classes, Camps & Lessons
• Coffee & Breakfast
• Professional & Local Services
• Shopping & Boutiques
• Local experiences, places to visit, and things to do

You do not have to own the business to submit a listing.

In fact, the best community guides are created by the people who actually live here people adding the places they love, use, trust, and recommend.

Once a listing is added, it can appear inside its category and on the interactive community map, making it easier for residents to discover what is nearby.

You can pull up the guide inside The Livable Forest® app while you are out and about, or explore it from your desktop when you are planning ahead.

And yes it is free to list.

Because a real community guide should not be built only by advertisers.

It should be built by the community.

📚 HUMBLE ISD IS ROLLING OUT A NEW DISTRICTWIDE INSTRUCTIONAL FRAMEWORK FOR THE 2026–27 SCHOOL YEAR.

The goal is to make classroom expectations more consistent across the district while giving teachers clearer support and students a stronger learning experience.

Humble ISD Deputy Superintendent Terry Perkins presented the framework during the district’s July 16 board meeting.

The district says the new approach is designed to improve:

✅ Student success
✅ The quality of instruction
✅ Support for teachers
✅ Consistency between classrooms and campuses

Basically, the district wants everyone working from the same playbook instead of each campus having a completely different interpretation of what strong classroom instruction should look like.

The framework is built around eight “non-negotiables”:

• Aligned learning objectives
• Checks for understanding
• Grade-level rigor
• Active student engagement
• Monitoring and adjusting instruction
• Clear classroom systems
• Positive classroom environments
• Differentiation for student needs

Teachers will receive focus guides showing what each objective should look like in the classroom, what it should not look like, and what both teacher and student behavior should reflect.

The district also plans to use regular coaching and feedback to help teachers improve.

One part that will probably get people talking is the use of Simbe, a software platform that can record classroom lessons and use artificial intelligence to analyze teaching methods based on the district’s expectations.

Principals and teachers would then be able to review the lesson together and discuss areas for improvement.

The district says the framework was created using input from teachers, administrators and the District Decision Making Committee.

Training began in June and July, and teachers will begin a deeper implementation of the framework in August.

Now here is the real question:

Do you think having one consistent instructional framework across Humble ISD will improve student outcomes, or are you concerned that a standardized approach could limit teachers’ flexibility in the classroom?

And how do you feel about AI being used to review classroom instruction and provide feedback to teachers? 👀👇🏽
