Tonight’s cooking class was all about saving our sanity in the kitchen—and what a fun group they were!

We started with crispy panko chicken, then gave it a second life as Chicken Parmesan. Next came our Date Night Chicken—juicy pesto chicken topped with roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Round two? We transformed it into a rich and creamy Tuscan Chicken. We wrapped up the evening with one of my favorites: Honey Garlic Ginger Stir Fry.

One of my favorite traditions at the end of every class is asking everyone to describe their evening in just one word.

There are moments in this job that remind me why I love what I do.

Today I made this coconut cake for a client. She took one look at it… smiled… and gave me a spontaneous hug.

That’s the best kind of compliment.

Every cake I make is from scratch, but what I really hope I’m creating is a moment someone will remember. Thank you for trusting me to be a small part of your celebration. 🤍

What an incredible honor. ❤️

I was genuinely surprised (and so humbled!) to receive this year’s Sweet Impact Award at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lewis Clark Valley’s Keys for Kids Dueling Pianos event.

I often say that food is simply the vehicle. The real goal is bringing people together, creating memories, and giving back to the community that has supported My Chef Steph from the very beginning. Knowing our dessert helped raise funds for local kids makes this recognition even sweeter.

Thank you to Tony and the entire Boys & Girls Clubs team for all the work you do, and congratulations to everyone who donated desserts, sponsored tables, and made the evening such a success.

We’re already looking forward to next year—and yes, we’ll happily put those two tickets to good use! ❤️
