One thing that makes my meals different? I donât cook with seed oils đ¤
Most conventional prepared foods and restaurant meals are made with highly processed oils like soybean, canola, corn, cottonseed, or vegetable oil. These oils are inexpensive and heavily used in the food industry, but many people choose to limit them because of how processed they are and the way they can oxidize when repeatedly heated at high temperatures.
Instead, I choose to cook with avocado oil, olive oil, extra virgin olive oil, butter, and coconut oil â fats that are less processed and that I personally feel better serving to my family and clients.
Why these oils?
⨠Avocado oil has a high smoke point, making it great for cooking while still providing healthy monounsaturated fats.
⨠Extra virgin olive oil is rich in antioxidants and is one of the most studied fats when it comes to overall wellness and longevity.
⨠Butter adds flavor and richness while using simple, familiar ingredients.
⨠Coconut oil works beautifully in certain recipes and contains naturally occurring fats that many people enjoy incorporating into their diets.
For me, itâs about being intentional with ingredients. I want every meal to be made with quality fats, balanced nutrition, and ingredients that support feeling good â while still tasting incredible.
Healthy food should never mean sacrificing flavor â¨
