Since Wes and Betsy purchased the Rookery in 2009, they’ve done a whole lot more than just grow a restaurant group. They’ve invested in a city, its people, its history, and its future.

Last week, Wes was honored with the 2026 Macon Arts Cultural Award, recognizing his contributions to the arts and cultural community in Macon.

For those of us lucky enough to work alongside him, we know just how much heart he pours into this city. He’s always been one of Macon’s biggest champions, and we couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of this recognition.
