This Week at Bierock: Devil Wears Prada Trivia, Live Music & More!
Monday November 2: Special Bierock Alert! Rum Ham!
Bierock is closed on Mondays, but we wanted to let you know we're continuing to offer our Halloween special as our Bierock of the Week.
We bought a big ass ham, combined it Mozzarella cheese, rum-braised pineapple and complement with a side of Rum-infused BBQ sauce.
So pretend you're Frank Reynolds and get yourself some (more) Rum Ham!
Tuesday November 3: Post-Election Public Domain Movie Night: Mr. Imperium
The first Tuesday of every month is Public Domain Movie Night at Bierock.
On Tuesday November 3, Bierock hosts a screening of Mr. Imperium.
This date is also Election Day, so after you go to the polls, feel free to drop by Bierock and watch a movie on the big screen.
This romantic musical drama is from 1951 and was produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
The brief synopsis from Turner Classic Movies sets the scene…
"Mr. Imperium, a prince who falls in love with nightclub singer Fredda Barlo when the two meet on vacation in Italy. When they reunite after more than a decade, Barlo has become a Hollywood superstar, and Imperium has ascended to the throne of king."
Wednesday November 4: The Devil Wears Prada Trivia
On Wednesday November 4, Bierock is host to The Devil Wears Prada trivia at 7:00 p.m.
The timing is appropriate as the film celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and its sequel was released just months ago.
Customers can expect their knowledge tested on the characters, actors, music, plot and other minutiae. Expect the majority of questions to come from the original movie, but a minority of questions may come from the book or the sequel.
If you know the name of the fashion magazine, you’re in the right place.
Thursday November 5: Grilled Cheese & Soup Combo
Thursdays are the day for our weekly Grilled Cheese & Soup combo meal.
Throughout the cooler months of the year, get some comfort food that is going to warm your belly and your soul.
You can pair either a cup or a bowl with our specialty grilled cheese.
This Thursday our B**r Cheese Soup will be made with New Holland Ichabod Pumpkin Ale.
Friday November 6: Live Music by Mudroom
Mudroom has a standing residency at Bierock, playing the first Friday of each month.
Their next performance takes place on Friday November 6th at 8:00 p.m.
Mudroom is a Madison-based jamband that has been delighting fans for over a decade with 400-plus shows.
While they love to cover their favorite artists like Phish and the Grateful Dead, their funky, jazzy original music is their true passion.
Mudroom performances feature a variety of musical styles, quite a bit of improvisation and are always worth the trip.
Saturday November 7: Live Music by Fast & Bulbous
Bierock presents live music the evening of Saturday November 7th.
The evening's entertainment is highlighted by Madison area band Fast & Bulbous.
Featuring an eclectic sound and original jams, Fast & Bulbous is inspired by the likes of Frank Zappa, Primus and Ween.
Expect and evening of virtuosic guitar, fiddle and percussion mastery.
Sunday November 8: Green Bay vs. New England Watch Party
The Green Bay Packers have a winning record, but they're in fourth place in the NFC North.
If they want to keep pace, it would behoove them to win on November 8.
We'll have a watch party for Green Bay vs. New England with the game on our big projection screen TV.
Kickoff is at 3:25 p.m.
Of course, we'll have our gameday Tailgate bierock on special, stuffed with brats, cheese curds, sauerkraut and onions.
