Lower back pain can be one of the trickiest issues to fix because everyone’s pain triggers are different. What helps one person may do very little for someone else. There are concepts in this video that can be applied to pain in any area. Find exercises to help with the current symptoms and dive into an assessment to understand how to fix the root cause.
These are some of the exercises Brandon is currently using to address his specific pain triggers showing up during his mountain bike race training:
• Posterior pelvic tilt with breathing
• Quadruped pelvic tilts
• Standing foam roller crunch and breathe
• Back extension isometrics
• Slow back extensions
The goal isn’t just to strengthen the back—it’s to improve how Brandon controls movement, manages load, and builds tolerance to the positions that are currently provoking symptoms.
Finding the right exercises starts with identifying the right triggers. Once you understand what’s driving the pain, the path forward becomes much clearer.
