Help us select a new Babcock ice cream flavor to honor UW Professor Francis Halzen, recipient of the 2026 Nobel Prize in physics. Link for voting in comments.

1. Nobel Neutrino: Mint ice cream with fudge swirl and blue sprinkles
2. IceCube Crunch: Blueberry ice cream with blueberry swirl and graham crunch
3. Nobel Night Sky: Chocolate ice cream with marshmallow swirl and chocolate rice crisps
4. South Pole Swirl: Vanilla ice cream with blue frosting swirl, cookie dough and multicolor sprinkles
5. Halzen's Universe of Possibilities: Caramel ice cream with caramel swirl and butter toffee pieces

Voting closes end of day Sunday, November 1, and the winning flavor will be available in spring 2027.

Created with the national champion Wisconsin Women's Hockey team, our new feature flavor Championship Sunday brings a championship celebration in a cup! Celebrate their success on the ice with a scoop or three of vanilla ice cream, chock-full of brownie pieces, Badger red sprinkles, and a pretzel swirl.

Now scooping at LaBahn Arena home hockey games, and in the store.

This week marks another big ‘Best of Madison’ award for the Babcock Dairy! We continued our silver-medal place in the “Best Ice Cream or Custard” category. Thank you to Madison Magazine and everyone who continues to support our historic little university dairy store where we’ve been scooping ice cream for over 75 years.
