Did you know that coffee is actually a fruit?

That’s right—the coffee bean we roast and brew isn’t technically a bean at all. It’s the seed found inside the fruit of a coffee plant, known as a coffee cherry. These cherries grow on trees in coffee-producing regions around the world and are carefully harvested when they reach peak ripeness.

After picking, the fruit is removed, the seeds are cleaned and dried, and then the real transformation begins. Through the roasting process, those green coffee seeds develop the rich aromas and flavors we all know and love. Every roast profile brings out different characteristics, from chocolate and caramel notes to fruity and floral flavors.

At Five Five Coffee, we take pride in sourcing quality coffee and roasting it fresh in small batches to ensure every cup delivers exceptional flavor and freshness.
