Since I am absent from market I still made some cookies. They are in the farm stand. 1/2 dozen for $4. Chocolate Chip and oatmeal cranberry with pumpkin seeds. So fresh they are still warm! Come and get em.

Even though I won't be at newfane tonight for the farmers market I have some items at our farm stand today.

Fresh eggs, fresh veggies(some, the garden is just starting to produce) and fresh cut flowers. I also have homemade beef tallow balms made from our own grass fed beef.

Prices are marked. We also have a free produce basket. Those are the veggies that aren't the prettiest but will make good zucchini bread or muffins and or feed your family.

Unfortunately no market for us this week. This heat is no good on my baked goods and apparently we have an air quality alert that is causing all sorts of havoc with my asthma.

No body wants to buy a melted cupcake from a girl wheezing like she just got finished smoking a pack of ci******es 🤣 I mean if your into that sorta thing no hate here but I'm just sayin.

Hopefully clearer sky's and lower temps for next week 🤞🏻

Stay safe out there friends. Hydrate frequently and retreat to indoors at the hottest part of the day (3pm to 5pm)!!!

***even little Liberty (just born on July 4th) isn't happy with this weather.

Keeping my eye on the weather for Wednesday's market. Hopefully after the brutal temps tomorrow we get a reprieve for Wednesday. If the temps continue though I will have to be absent unfortunately 😕 the heat and humidity are not a finished baked products friend 😑

Buttercream made with real butter melts, chocolate melts, I melt lol. It just isn't a fun time.

I will let everyone know Wednesday morning if market is a go or not.

We will be there tonight!! I am so excited to be back at market. My husband is back to first shift so I'm leaving him in charge of the farm chores tonight. Last week was brutal temps for buttercream frosting and the week before we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary ❤️ but tonight I am ready to be at market doling out the goods. Hope to see you all there!!!

So today I have been contacted several times because people think my cookie cart was stolen from again. This happened to me back in October, but a bake stand located in Alabama just had it happen to them a day ago and they have a very similar name to mine. My heart breaks for them. I know how this feels. You pour your heart and soul into this and 9 times out of ten if someone asked you for help you would give them the shirt off your back but to have someone steal from you hurts knowing you would always be willing to help someone out.

Please go to their page and offer kind words. They really do mean alot when you're in this position.

To be clear my cake shop has not suffered another robbery, and it is nice that people from the community have reached out. Its just a sad time we live in where the honor system can't be respected anymore. More stands will close up if we as a society keep walking this path. Small businesses are already hard to run, don't make it harder on us.

One of the saddest posts I’ve had to make but here it goes..
Sometime last night, someone stole everything from my bakery stand.
Not just the baked goods. They took the shelves, baskets, risers, cake stands, rug, bags, notepads..everything right down to the sign with my business name on it.
What was taken wasn’t just equipment or supplies. It was something I poured my heart into.
I’m a stay-at-home mom who started this little bakery as a way to have something of my own..a creative outlet, a hobby I loved, and a way to contribute to my family while doing something that brought me joy.
Every recipe was made during bed time, late nights, and in the little moments I could find between caring for my family. Every dollar earned went back into making this dream a little bigger.
To the person who did this: I hope you understand that you didn’t just take things from a stand. You took countless hours of hard work, sacrifice, excitement, and pride. You took something I built with love.
I truly hope you find comfort in knowing that what you stole meant the world to someone who was simply trying to create something good.
Right now, I’m heartbroken. But I’m also incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported my small business, encouraged me, and believed in me along the way.
