As a small business owner, I am obliged to participate in advertising for the holidays and with the climate around AI graphics being what it is, I’ve been compelled to go back to my roots as an artist. Thus I share with you my latest watercolor postcard. I’ve downgraded my sculpture background to mini pictures over the years and find it a great opportunity to be expressive without taking up too much space. I’ll typically paint scenes of nature or botanical doodles but today I had an assignment that had been lurking around my consciousness. Expressing how I feel about the holidays via a Halloween themed graphic. I only had the wording and funny fonts in mind when I started drawing, but then I added random blotches of color and let them take up space as they wanted, I planned to then go over the dry painting with pen to find the details. What I produced, post penning, was a surprise to me but I feel that it displays the pent up anxiety that surrounds the holidays.

It may be a bit aggressive, apologies for that. I welcome your feedback, if it could be framed in a positive way I would appreciate it. In the end I invite you to consider us a source for slaying the holiday demons. Our space is known for its welcoming atmosphere & inclusiveness and you won’t find a glut of holiday cheer overflowing from our teapots, but what you will find is a human experience. I invite you to join us this TEA SEASON and make of it what you will without letting the pressure of the season hold reign. We are hosting some seasonal events to help you to blow off some steam while checking things off your list. It’s been a wild ride selling tea for the past 18 years!

We used to write down every order on paper then enter it into a point of sales system at the end of the day in order to keep track of sales, tax etc. There have been at least 5 different systems in place over the years and reinventing and entering all the data and keeping the numbers correct, was a serious chore.

Today I am very excited to let you know that we have found our forever platform on Shopify. We’ve updated our in store sales model, but more importantly our online web store. There have been a few complaints in the past about how our website functioned and I am happy to say that the process has been streamlined and is now oh so easy!

Ever wonder what happens to all the tea leaves after we're done steaping up your brews? Say hello to ! We've been storing up the leaves for regular deposits to this amazing ecosystem. One of the many beautiful facets of this lovely neighborhood. They take approved food scraps every Saturday between 11 and noon.
