Happy birthday (a day late) to my beautiful mama! When I think of words that come to mind when describing my mom, genuine, selfless, and generous all come to mind. She works behind the scenes to make all the delicious homemade toppings for my ice cream, watches my kids while I work, keeps me from going off the rails and anything and everything else I ask of her. 💗

This is easy as it gets when it comes to a fundraising opportunity for your group!!

Our club is looking for a group to work with us on June 7th at our concession stand during a weekend baseball tournament. We'll need 4 workers to handle the windows, serving food from 10:00 until 4:00 (You can break it up however you like; most other groups do two shifts of 4). We'll do the cooking; you take the cash and hand out food (we use Square); and we'll donate money to your organization for helping us out. Currently, our Saturday shift is taken. If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I will never turn down a chance to create a memorable experience when it comes to kids. ✌🏻

Yesterday, a group of girls came up to my cart wanting to sample my cheese curds. They came back an hour later for more samples. And then again. It became very apparent they were the classic sideline siblings who were clearly over watching their brothers play baseball 😉 and they were consuming cheese curds at a rate in which they were probably approaching constipation. 🤣 So, naturally I gave them what any good farm girl would: a job. They were given free ice cream in return for serving as my little marketing team. Needless to say…best $18 ever spent. 🙌🏻

And today they came back and they took on the role of manning the cart, handling everything from inventory management, making change, and building a strategy to sell the most cups before I headed out for the day. (We surpassed our goal by the way!) 👊🏻

I think there’s just something about the little girls that remind me of myself. That same entrepreneurial spirit that has always been a part of what makes me, ME. 🫶🏻

It’s always great when you can say you made a little bit of money at the end of the day, but what I’m more thankful for is those moments when God reminds me of the positive impact He’s allowing me to have on those around me. 💗

And while I’m at it, I am so proud to be a Greater Waverly Kiwanis Club member. This well-oiled machine of a team of volunteers had a record breaking weekend of sales, meaning that every purchase made will be used to improve the lives of those around us in even more tangible ways! 💪🏻

The Greater Waverly Kiwanis Club told me the bases loaded tournament happening this weekend was going to be big! Needless to say, I believe them now! 😵‍💫

The concession stand was nearly cleaned out and I made a pretty decent sized dent in my ice cream cart supply! But we’ll both be restocked tomorrow (Sunday) and ready to serve you! 😁

It’s been almost three years since I last made a post promoting my beef. Not because it’s not selling, but because my repeat customers make it so I never have to! That said, I have a quick turn around for locker dates this month and need to make sure I have room for the next beef.

What a privilege it is to be fulfilling my two biggest dreams at the same time.

Some days are hard. Running a business with littles isn’t for the weak.

Some days take sacrifice. Some days I wonder if I’m doing the right thing. Some days I question God’s perfect timing.

But not a day goes by that I don’t consider myself blessed beyond measure.
