Karenβs be Karen-ing πββοΈβ¨
Some people are just turds, like real turds. Like my nameβs Phillip Stewart. Iβm from Community Blocks and Coffee Beer, and weβre getting ready for our big street fair next week. And I probably hung up over three hundred posters. Iβve handed out over a couple hundred like community notices to everyone on the, on the path of the, the fair. And like, I would say like nine and a half out of ten people are beyond excited for Community Block Street Fair. But man, I just had an experience with like a total Karen. They donβt look like theyβd be a Karen, but man, she went off on me, uh, sayingβ basically making idle threats, uh, about what I do and that if I have a street fair, that sheβs gonna report us to PBOT and that Iβm never gonna be able to get a permit again. While Iβm not shaking in my boots, Iβm really hoping that theyβre okay. I, you know, like street fairs and big events sometimes are a minor inconvenience for a few hours to pull something off magical, and we appreciate everyone going with us. But to all those that like get upset that something fun is happening for the community, like I just hope they find joy somewhere. If itβs not at our street fair somewhere soon, for them, for their own sake, and maybe for my sake, I donβt like dealing with Karens.
