Delicious Soft Honey Caramels from the Heritage Kitchen today. Made from just 4 ingredients, including honey from the Heritage Bees and our own hand-crafted vanilla. These will be at the Holiday Marketplace at Bob Keefer Center with us on this coming Friday and Saturday. (32nd & Main in Springfield) Hope to see you there!

Pumpkin Spice Springerle. I know it's not everyone's flavor, but I love it. :) I sampled one of these while drinking some Pumpkin Spice coffee. The Heritage kitchen smelled just like fall.

Cardamom Vanilla Cookies today. I was missing all of those delicious Cardamom Buns from Scandinavia, so I used the same flavors to make these beauties. The Heritage Kitchen smelled SO GOOD! If you look closely you can see the tiny vanilla seeds from my own vanilla sugar and the hand-ground cardamom used in these.

Gluten-Free Lemon Springerle today. If you look closely, you'll see little tiny specks from the gluten-free flour. It's nice to have an option for customers who need something delicious but without the gluten.

It's a wrap on the Scandinavian taste testing adventure. The big flavor for this trip was cardamom and I sampled Cardamom Buns in 12 different bakeries across 3 countries. All were delicious but I definitely had my favorites! Now that we're back I've used the delicious flavors of hand-ground cardamom to make a new addition to Heritage Honey's infused flavors - Cardamom Honey. Perhaps because I love the flavor of cardamom, but this is absolutely my favorite of our flavored honeys. Available at all upcoming events or message me to place an order.

You may have heard of Norway's famous brown cheese, traditionally eaten on a Norwegian waffle. Since I've been on a flavor-seeking mission on this trip, I had to have some. I had a delicious brown-cheese-and-jam waffle and it was so good we had to bring some waffle mix home so I can make them here. :) And just for fun I had some brown cheese ice cream later. Yum! I'm not planning any brown cheese cookies, but you never know... :) These flavors are amazing!

I don't want you to think I've fallen down on the job in my cookie research on this trip. This is today's find - Norwegian molded cookies, these were originally made in the 1950s. They're a crispy sugar cookie with just a little bit of coconut. My taste tester and I couldn't eat just one. 🙂
