Please, consider taking the time to publicly comment on Pierce County proposed ordinance o2026-564 either online or during the meeting 10/27 at 3pm

This ordinance is sloppy and negligent, putting enforcement of unpermitted food vendors into the hands of Pierce County Sherrifs Department. Vendors can face fines, seizure of equipment, and even jail time.

every food business should be concerned about this ordinance, whether they are fully licensed or not

Three years ago today I opened a biscuit shop with 5 two top tables in a run down strip mall/former Pizza Hut with pretty much no money, a ton of DIY work, and a dream.
I remember telling my crew that I had no idea how busy we’d be or how many hours I’d have for them. I remember telling myself there was no turning back now, I had to make this work one way or another because now I had a staff that relied on me to make sure they were paid.. I remember wondering what the hell I was doing.. surprise, I never wanted to have a sit down restaurant but here we are haha

I am so incredibly lucky that this has worked out. It hasn’t always been fun and it’s pretty much never been easy, but I wouldn’t change anything we’ve done. I’ve made a lot of friends along the way (and my big mouth with big opinions has made sure I’ve made just as many haters 😂).

I wish I had something profound to say, but really all I want to say is thank you all who have made this place what it is today. Even you jerks who convinced me to expand the size. I hope you’re happy because I’m never doing that again.
