Cheers to McKinley! 🥃🏔️

The mastermind behind our Westland feature: McKinley, our bartender at Stack 571 in Totem Lake. He created and developed every cocktail on this lineup, and each one is a stop on a journey through the Cascades.

Here’s the trail:

🥾 Trailhead: Where the hike begins. An Old Fashioned-style sipper with Westland Wh***ey Watchpost, herbal Amaro Montenegro, and orange bitters. Aromatic, citrusy, and gently bittersweet.

🏕️ Base Camp: Bright and fruity. The moment you drop your pack and settle in.

🌄 Last Light: Refreshing and ginger-led. Golden hour in a glass.

🌲 Night Watch: Rich and contemplative. For long pours and slow conversation by the fire.

Four drinks. Four distinctive ways into wh***ey. And one very talented bartender who made it all happen. 👏

Meet the artist behind this month’s Burger and Shake of the Month poster. 🎨

That’s Brooklyn Futrell. Her drawings are so sweet and special! So much detail😍🍺🥨🎃

Her masterpiece paints a picture for our two October heavy hitters:

Wh***ey Wednesday: Westland Wh***ey Edition.
Stop 1: The Trailhead 🥾

Every good hike starts at the trailhead, so we started there too.

🥃 Westland Watchpost, Amaro Montenegro, simple syrup, Angostura & orange bitters, orange peel & Luxardo cherry.
We took the first sip so you don’t have to. 👀 (You still should.)

🥃 The Taste: It’s rounded and aromatic, with a hit of expressed orange on the nose. Wh***ey warmth and gentle sweetness meet herbal, bittersweet depth from the amaro. The bitters bring spice and structure to the finish, and the wh***ey stays front and center the whole way through.

🍊 Who it’s for: Old Fashioned drinkers, and anyone who likes their wh***ey with a little sweetness and a lot of complexity. If that’s you, this is your easiest way into the Westland feature.
