The Raven Music Club Thursday Night Open Mic Night is only two days away and damn am I excited about it.....we had some new talent as well as some seasoned Raven veterans come back to our little musical nook on Pleasant Street in Worcester the past two weeks.

We provide the sound and have in-house keys, piano, drums and Irish tin flute.

Dont be shy....last week our barkeep and Commander in Chief hummed "here comes the bride" and the entire place erupted in cheers and laughter....in other words all talent is welcome and encouraged☘️

We will have complimentary pizza for a few more weeks before going live so come on down for the complimentary pizza and a cold one if that is all that fancies you🍕🍺

Jonathan "Boogie" Long of Baton Rouge, Louisiana is returning to Worcester, Massachusetts on Friday, February 5, 2027 @ The Raven Music Club.

He began his career at the age 18, invited by BB King to tour with him. Shortly after, he was awarded Guitar Center’s “King of the Blues”, besting over 4,000 other contestants. Since then, he’s taken the short road to Louisiana legend, already a member of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, and Baton Rouge officially designating January 4th as “Jonathon Long” day. He has shared the stage with B.B. King, Joe Bonamassa, Gov’t Mule, Gregg Allman, ZZ Top, Robert Cray, Dr. John, The Meters, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and many more.

Bruce performed with the Allman Brothers for many years including many of those incredible Beacon Theatre gigs in New York City....some serious talent is coming to The Raven Music Club in Worcester, Massachusetts 🎶

Bruce Katz, pianist/keyboardist is a 30 year veteran of the music business, Katz has released 10 albums. He has appeared on over 70 albums by other artists and toured with many others. His resume includes work with the likes of Ronnie Earl, John Hammond, Delbert McClinton, Gregg Allman, Duke Robillard, Little Milton, Maria Muldaur, Jimmy Witherspoon, Paul Rishell, Mighty Sam McClain, Debbie Davies and David “Fathead” Newman.

Bruce is a ten time BMA nominee. In 2019, Katz was awarded the Blues Music Award for Best Acoustic Album for Journeys To The Heart Of The Blues with Joe Louis Walker and Giles Robson.
