The markets of Thailand and the streets of Bangkok provide the origin of Long Chim’s food. Every Thai eats on the street; it's the food every visitor sees.
(2114)

One of the world’s best chefs of Thai cuisine will bring the street food of Thailand to Perth’s cultural heart. Try this, look here, what’s that – these words are the soundtrack of the Thai street, and Long Chim’s fast-and-hot service style of small and grabbable, steaming, clattering plates creates a kind of music that leads you to laugh a little louder, stay a little longer and try something new every time. Long Chim means ‘come and taste’ in Thai and chef David Thompson invites everyone to sample the cuisine that seduced him on his first visit to Thailand in 1986.

What does your Long Chim feast look like? 🤔

A little bit of everything, a table with barely an inch to spare, or one particular dish you simply refuse to share?

However you like to order, there's always room for one more plate at Long Chim.

We’re having a party at ours. You’re on the list.

Down in the Long Chim basement, events come with authentic Thai flavours, cold drinkies & the kind of colour, heat and noise that makes standing around politely very unlikely.

Take over the restaurant, gather in the barrel-vaulted basement or spill into the high-walled courtyard — wherever you land, expect spicy bites, full glasses & a party that knows exactly how to get going.

Bring the guest list. We’ll bring the Bangkok.

That’s my typa Thai.

MY THAI is sunshine with a little side-eye — Plantation pineapple, Coco Lopez, curaçao, ginger, Aperol & lime all shaken into something tropical, sharp & very ready to start trouble at the table.

Sweet? Yes. Spicy? A little. Behaving? Absolutely not.

Turkey can sit this one out.

Christmas Day at Long Chim is bringing the feast downstairs — shared Thai dishes, bold flavour, plenty of energy & absolutely no room for boring festive behaviour.

Gather the family, claim a table in the Main Dining Room or Courtyard & celebrate Christmas the Long Chim way.

Book now through the link in bio.

Press play on the weekend. 🎶🌶️

Fridays at Long Chim are for courtyard beats, questionable dance-floor confidence & that dangerous little window where Happy Hour turns into staying for dinner.

Get in early from 4–6pm, stick around for the DJ from 5:30pm & let Friday do the rest. 😉

Venture down the rabbit hole. Bangkok is waiting.

Down the stairs, past the ordinary, into a basement of glowing cocktails, firing woks & plates that make the night feel curiouser and spicier.

Follow the lights. Trust the heat. Things get wonderfully weird down here.

Crying Tiger, happy table.

Angus Beef Crying Tiger is built for the hungry crowd — 300g of striploin, smoky edges, tender centre & smoked tomato relish ready to start a little friendly table tension.

Order it for sharing. Fight politely.

This is a green flag.

9-TIER brings peach, bourbon, lime, mint & Thai w**e aperitif together under a soft drift of matcha snow — fresh, icy & just dramatic enough to make the whole table ask what you’re drinking.

Matcha lovers, your moment has arrived.

Let him cook. No really. 🔥

Over the flame, in the thick of service, Long Chim is all heat, speed & serious Bangkok flavour — the kind of cooking that makes you stop mid-conversation and stare.

Dinner and a show? Basically.

Wok this way. 🔥

Follow the heat, the smoke & the sound of something delicious hitting the pan. Down in the basement, Long Chim is serving Bangkok energy at full volume.

21/09/2026

The silly season called. It wants a table at Long Chim.

Festive Group Dining at State Buildings is here for long lunches, louder dinners & the kind of “just one more plate” behaviour that only December can excuse.

Gather the team, round up the friends & let us handle the feasting — generous menus, shared plates & plenty of reason to raise a glass.

17/09/2026

DOCTOR’S ORDERS: YOU NEED A COCKTAIL. 🍸

Hey, we don’t make the rules — but we do know how to make a seriously good drink.

Head down to the Long Chim basement, pull up at the bar & let us prescribe something cold, bright & made to kick the night into gear.
