Bando Diary …. In 2021, The Bando put up a post looking for young men to help mentor in the community. We wanted to put young black boys to work.

“If you got a lazy son or a lazy little brother, please send them to the Bando for work”…. That was the post😂. Tre sister came running n the rest was history…. Tre came to us when the Bando first started , moving down from up north. He became family.

Over the last few years, we have become these boys big brothers, mentors, and father figures. It’s a lot the world don’t see. We are helping young black men get cars and get their life started.

People come first, not profit …. sometimes we have to remember that . The staff will be going to get massages 2day and we spending time with our Mentee’s today eating good.

Since we closed here are 3 other black owned restaurants you should support today….

1.) … best brunch in the city of Atlanta. You have to go n try their famous French toast bites and their macaroni and cheese!! Hurry because they don’t stay open all day

2.) … The Smashburger and drinks are top-tier. Juice taste like granny made it. We stay ordering their drinks for the staff 🤣. Definitely support these folks!

3.) arguably the best Jamaican food we’ve ever had in our life. Argue with your mama.

what you see here is leadership defending leadership!!!! Lulu came into the kitchen and asked everybody what happened.

Everyone in the kitchen, disrespected her and ignored her. So Terry had to come in n regulate frfr. Everybody men stop acting like little girls.

TONY WE LOVE YOU!!!❤️, We will forever miss u!! Forever in our hearts! 😔🥹

“American Deli could never”…..That’s how we met Tony.. Back in 2021, Tony wasn’t an employee. He was just a customer who kept pull’n up after dance practice recording videos and yelling, “American Deli could never!”

We loved his vibe. We loved his heart. We loved his aesthetic . We knew he was made to represent our front of house … Who would’ve thought that same MF would go on to spend the next 5 years working at THE BANDO and soon moving into management? Tony you BANDO FAMILY 4eva.

Tony wasn’t just a cashier. He became fam. He watched this business grow from the ground up. He stood with us through the good, the bad, and the moments nobody ever see online. He was here when we lost people we loved.He was here through water outages, power outages, crazy nights, stressful mornings, community givebacks, empty dining rooms, n everything in between.

Kids all up n down MLK know Tony. Customers know Tony. The community know Tony. And most importantly...We know Tony HEART.

Real s**t we weren’t aint always perfect. It was times we should’ve had yo back more. Times we could’ve communicated better. Times we could’ve done more for you. For those moments, we’re sorry frfr.

But, one thing we’ve never questioned is how much we love you. From the Uber rides to helping whenever life got hard... We’ve always had each others back.

You were one of the very 1st faces in a Bando commercial. You helped create the culture people experience today. 5 years in fast food is almost unheard of. 5 years of loyalty, consistency, n smiles deserves more than just a handshake.

So this video—and the $5,000 gift we’re presenting you—is simply our way of saying thank you. One thousand dollars for every year you gave to this place. It comes from us, our team, our customers, and the community that loves you just as much as we do.
