One afternoon in 1983 Dale Stockburger had his first legal beer at the Ellis family’s iconic restaurant, Bubba’s, in downtown Bar Harbor. Just a few years later, in 2021, he finds himself in the stewardship of the very bar he celebrated in on that day. The striking restaurant and bar, built in the 70’s, holds the same charm today, and the staff is eager to continue serving excellent food and drink

to the residents and visitors of Bar Harbor. With pride in the establishment itself as well as the Mount Desert Island community, Dale is looking forward to carrying on the Finback legacy.
