Originally conceived as a wine bar, avec is the second concept from celebrated One Off Hospitality. While wine still remains at avec’s core, the rustic menu features ingredients from valued local purveyors for weekend brunch and dinner service seven days week. The wine list, while extensive, remains moderately priced and draws primarily from boutique vineyards in Southwestern Europe.

on monday, november 2, at 6:30 PM, join us for a five-course w**e dinner celebrating the flavors of the midddle east and the storied w**es of château musar.

marc hochar joins us for this special experience, bringing the history and heritage of his family’s iconic lebanese w**ery to the table. each course will be served communal-style, with a menu inspired by middle eastern cuisine and paired with distinctive w**es from lebanon’s bekaa Valley.

the day is finally here! after months of planning, building, and countless hours of hard work, we’re excited to officially open the doors to avec highwood. as our first restaurant concept on the north shore, this opening marks a meaningful milestone for our team and an exciting new chapter for avec.

bringing a restaurant to life takes a village, and we’re grateful to everyone who poured their time, talent, and heart into making this a reality. from custom-designed seating by sandler and thoughtfully selected textiles from our longtime collaborator gregg fishman of three generations of to sculptural lighting by greg kay and his team at , every detail was considered with love and care.

the space was brought to life through the vision of james beard award-winning designer, friend and long-time collaborator of over 30 years thomas schlesser. working alongside hailey brown, architect of record at present future architects. we’re especially grateful to our general contractor, , including jim dravilas, brett neuberg, and ben neuberg, for helping bring that vision to life. custom furniture by WACO industries, with mike and frank troccoli, adds even more character and soul to the space. an extra thank you to anna maria and ester viti of viti insurance group.

this project would not have been possible without the many skilled tradespeople, artisans, and contractors who worked behind the scenes to bring every detail together. a thank you to prairie plumbing, denning HVAC, ilya bronstein, dexter electric, michael kautz flooring, marco from imperial brush, tuscany carpentry, ark glass, manny from MS glass, jacob shapiro from vero millwork, lloyd natof our framer, edge electrical systems, aleck plumbing, core concrete, brennan masonry, A1 roofing, sanchez paving, and D5 iron.

working with such talented people to create a space that feels so welcoming was an important part of bringing our restaurant to life. we’re proud of what we’ve built together and can’t wait to welcome you in and become part of this community. lastly, we extend heartfelt acknowledgment to the village of highwood for believing in us.
