Friends: we have an idea, and we need your help with it.
Every day, we watch folks come in for the free SNAP Breakfast, open their phones and laptops, and spend hours firing off job applications.

Today, I was reminded that the REAL win for the SNAP Breakfast program isn't feeding more people, but it should be feeding fewer people, because fewer people NEED it.

Here’s the idea we want to run by you: what if Heretic hosted a job fair for our SNAP Breakfast Community?

Instead of resumes just getting thrown into application portals online, our guests would get face-to-face time with local businesses who are actually hiring.

And what if the day before, we did like a resume workshop, where a team of people helped folks polish up their resumes, plus a printer on-site so everyone walks out with 20+ copies ready for the next day.

This is uncharted territory for us, and we know some of you have experience like things like this, or ideas that could make this so much better.

So, let's consider this a Heretic Town Hall.

What are we missing?
Are we stepping out of our lane?
Can this actually be beneficial?

We think this is a way to help our community get back on their feet, where it's not just keeping people fed, but helping them get to a place where they can feed themselves.
