Brue Coffee is a business in Rochester, NY’s 19th Ward. Our owners are neighborhood residents who wanted to create a place where other neighborhood residents (college students, and college professors; blue collar, white collar, and no collar; old and young; diversity in all ways you can imagine) can come together and enjoy great coffee, teas, smooth

ies, other drinks, food and spend time together. We named it Brue from an old word that means “bridge” to symbolize the connections between people, and to reference the pedestrian bridge that connects our neighborhood with the University of Rochester.

Yesterday was the 1st anniversary of our closing. A lot has happened in the past year, and even if circumstances had allowed our coffee shop to stay open, we probably would not have been able to remain open during the pandemic.

Just wanted to thank all of our customers, fans, and supporters again for a fabulous five years of operation. We miss you!

Hi all, it is with sadness that we let you know that Brue is now closed permanently. We had tried to negotiate a new lease but were unsuccessful, and then COVID-19 was the final straw.

Tomorrow is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Brue will be open, and we will have a special edition of Carlton Wilcox live from 6pm-10pm.

We are also a 19th Ward MLK day luminary hot spot. Show this post to your barista for 1/2 price hot chocolate from 6-10pm.

Happy Holidays and thanks for your support in 2019.
Brue will be closed 24th-26th so that our staff can enjoy the holiday. Open at 8am on Friday for your after Christmas coffee.
