Mac Chesnut shares his novel “A Story Only Fate Could Tell,” a heartfelt, multi-generational tale set in the small Texas town of Appledale. It centers on Mr. Morton, a beloved and aging schoolteacher; Allie McDermitt, a widowed mother and aspiring writer; and her son Stan, as they navigate the challenges of memory, loss, fate, and the everyday moments that define family and community.

"A Story Only Fate Could Tell" is a touching exploration of how ordinary people confront loss, cherish memories, and find hope in new beginnings. Through the intertwined stories of Mr. Morton, Allie, and Stan, the novel celebrates the enduring power of family, community, and storytelling.
